Adam slips out but heads away from it, maybe there's a bench or a bus stop or just some out of the way corner with trees (cover).....

And yes, there is. A bus stop... doesn't ride often.

Perfect.

He heads over.

Yup. It goes twice a day.

He sits for about ten minutes, under near a green patch of bushes and trees

He rides the buzz. Check the time. Figures out how long will be safe....

and his phone buzzes

He checks it.

TXT: Where are you? his father

A groan. He answers. TXT: Out. I'm ok. I have Symon a hand with something and .... nothing's ever simple, is it? But I'm ok. I'll be home as soon as I can.

TXT: 'Out' is kind of vague. You're not hurt?

TXT: No, not hurt. I'm ok.

TXT: Okay. Glad all is well. Easter went great. Wish you joined us but hope you're feeling better

TXT: Glad to hear it. You guys at home?

TXT: yup. Going to have ribs later tonight.

TXT: Ok. See you later. Adam blinks and opens his eyes up, checking the message.

He takes a breath and hits send.

After another 30 minutes and he has a choice...stay here, bus will actually arrive in 15... go to car and hope he's sober.. he feels sober. If he stays he doesn't have to get on the bus.

Or he can.. and see where it takes him

He scowls but checks his watch, trying to calculate the time elapsed since last drink vs. how many drinks he had.....

Damn, it's hard to keep count when you've seen a girl's shirt off.. or rather, you count things other than drinks. Mmm now he knows he took it a lot slower, so it wasn't a whole bottle.. but that was strong stuff... but he also had water and even before he got here there was a ten minute pause. Mmm...

The bus pulls up

He waves the driver off. Even buzzed he knows it's not smart to be out right now, and besides, he doesn't know the bus system or how he'd get back here.

And Zane steps off

"Hey..." He says and joins him on the bench

"You okay?" Zane asks

Adam goggles at him briefly, amazed. "Dude. What are you doing here?"

"Sitting on a bench. Nab got worried about you so asked me to check on you"

A scowl. "She did not."

"How'd you find me?"

"Dude" he says startled "What the heck? Of all the things I'm going to lie about, you think that's what I'm gonna lie about?"

"You lie to me??"

Zane blinks "not really no..dude? Are you okay? I tell you what happened, you tell me I'm lying. I'm saying that if I were going to lie it 's not about htat... and now you think I lie to you all the time? that's your takeaway" he gives him a look studying

Adam shakes his head, dismissing all that. "Dude, not really ready to get into a whole thing about it. Fine, Nab sent you. Guess we're still bound or whatever. I'm fine. I'll be fine." He exhales and sits back, tipping his head onto bus stop back.

"Okay. But man... your glamour... you're juiced but...it's like...mm got a tilt to it"

"Yeah? Maybe. Gave Symon a hand earlier." he sighs "And my car's kinda beat to shit and my balls are blue. How's your evening going?" He laughs.

That DOES make Zane laugh "Well, I was going to complain but now I feel like I'm doing good. Visited the sisters huh?"

"So close......." sadly.

"I think they enjoy bringing a guy up to the line and then moving the line" he sighs "Same thing happened to me two nights ago"

"Earlier, Etsie said if she was 40 years younger she'd still be too old for me but she'd think about it and right now, I'd be ready to give her reason to....."

He laughs

"Also, almost got eaten by a shark, so I owe her one."

"Yeah, noticed the torn pants"

"Yeah." He exhales.

"Oh man....." Another sigh. "I don't wanna go home."

"You need me to drive you in your car? I PROBABLY won't kill us"

He checks his watch again; the count down is....?
