For Nadeen Dancingsnow, practice with a blade sometimes feels redundant. In a land of giant warriors, it seems as if the blue and gray folks are worried that the little elves might prick themselves.

But she must keep her practice up, and so she does, even if it's mostly blade katas. Anyone watching her would likely think her 'Dancing snow

moniker most fitting indeed. She flits and and flows and fluries

Her blade looks lighter by comparison, when troll size is the norm, a longsword doesn't look so long

Well, relative to the Varich...

The blade is new, a gift to replace her lost Whispermourn, but while she is gracious, it's clear she misses her old blade. This one is ..adequette.

Not the same as a quest blade, obviously. Nice of the Count, surely.. but..

And she slashes, and moves, twisting and turning making a ballet, then she sees Dagmar

"How long have you been there?" She smiles

Shrug-grin.

"Long enough."

"Hope I looked okay doing it"

"More than okay."

"Thank you," SHe says "This sword, it's ...servicable, and please don't tell the Count I don't like it, but it lacks ..specialness. I may have to go questing"

"We should yes. It'll be grand. Maybe Chief'll let us take Stormwake and Star?"

"mm so you'd come along? Will you let me do some of the fighting or just carry me on your back yoda like?" Teasing

"I guess you could fight some..."

"Like I could stop you. Stubborn."

"Did you just call me stubborn? Because I want to step back when the chimerical lighting hits " She smirks and does, in fact, take one step back.

"Where's the lie?"

"I'm just saying it's like the sky calling the lake blue, because you are headstrong yourself"

"Nahhh."

"I can get witnesses" She says "Starts with your folks and goes around the block"

That said, she puts her sword back in it's scabbard, and moves to give the much taller girl a hug

A squeeze back. "So..."

"So" She says back

"So, what you wanna do?"

"Well, it's weird, not sure what TO do, all this free time. I suppose if I were Seelie I would hunker down on patrolling."

She harrumphs. "Can't even patrol proper. Supposed to be giving space. Dad is working like crazy, because everybody is crazy, and Tove..." She trails off, a note of worry.

"Tove works on Youtube mostly... she's got lots of distance " A hand to reassure

"Yeah, but what if I get it, or Dad gets it, and we bring it home?"

"Has your father had to close the store?"

In point of fact, it's busy at the store of lately.

Folks go there for a lot more tahn the used to.

"No. It's considered essential... like, food and gas and stuff?"

"Dunno how essential slushees are..."

"And toilet paper. I understand he only allows folks to buy one pack at a time"

"And they're still sold out by nine."

"It's crazy. That stuff doesn't protect you from anything but a dirty ass"

"Totally crazy."

"I am SO glad I talked mother and father into a Bidet months ago. "

Nose-wrinkle.

"It's cultured" She says primly

"It's... I mean, I dunno. Not for me."

"I assure you, it won't kill you if you ever have to use it."

"Want to patrol the woods while we talk? The animals at least should be safe"

"Yeah. I like the woods."

And they start walking along. One thing they notice is some birds are coming back, a sign that spring is getting the okey dokey even this far north.

Dag points when she spots a bob of bright red high in the branches. "Cardinal."
