Nadeen sits on the bench

and looks out at the park. There's a place for children, but none of the kids are out at this time. She's glad she supposes.

Adam moseys past.

"Hello, Adam.."

"Heeeeyyyyyy....."

Adam grins; his eyes spark.

She doesn't seem to be doing anything. No smart phone, no lap top. Not even a book.

"You ok?" A tilt of his head.

"Not really, but I will be," She says, "Congratulations on that lindnorm slaying by the way . Sir Vali and Thane Tiffany and others are most impressed"

"Thank you." graciously "What's wrong? Can I help?" An honest offer.

"Nothing you can help with, but thank you. I'm getting sained soon"

"Congratulations on that. It's a pretty big deal, huh?"

"It is. I will come into my full power. I shall have the title... I shall have purpose. I shall have my name. I will at last be who I am meant to be."

Adam nods with a sigh. "Yeah. I bet that'll feel great."

"Yes, and yet it may cost me all I have now. So I am..thinking on it"

"Well, it's not like you can't get Sained, right?"

"Correct. Unhealthy not to be. Can lead to insanity."

"How's it going to cost you what you have? Dag and the rest of 'em will still be friends with you, right?" Adam takes a seat next to her.

"I am a baroness. Of house Varich. Sworn to my House. It may call on me."

"They won't let you be friends with the others?"

"And the Chieftain does not need one equal of rank and sained at her lodge. I will put her citizens at ill ease."

"Power is drawn to power,, Adam. it is also repulsed by it"

Adam doesn't seem to understand.

"I don't know how to explain, but while the Chieftain might foolishly keep me out of a sense of honor, the truth is, it's not the best thing for her Barony. People will worry I'm her heir. I am not, of course. But they will worry I intend to seize the hold even if only in years to come."

Adam frowns. "Yeah. Yeah, I guess I can see that."

"I'm going to miss Dagmar" She admits

A sigh. "She's cute, and I thought we had something going on, but... I don't know."

"Did you ever bring her flowers?" She says

"No." A blink. "Does she like flowers? Didn't seem like she was a flower-liking girl...."

"It's not so much if she does or doesn't, and she probably doesn't. it's the attentiveness it shows. it ... Dagmar is likely to be closed off, isolated. Texting her may seem like checking in with her, but it's not. She's a lot on her mind, and she's not going to realize she's ignoring ou"

"I guess....." Thinking.

"But then I didn't think you were that attracted to her , at least not specifically" A shrug "you seem to like girls in general"

A cocky grin. "Yeah. And some of them like me. And yeah, you know, I like Dagmar that way.... but I don't know if she likes me the same."

"I mean, I could get why she might want to go slow, I respect that."

She eyes the cocky grin, "It's good that you respect it slow"

"But, like.... -really- slow." He shrugs.

A sound of footfalls, and then Sylvi approaches, out for a jog.

"It's not just a matter of slow"

"It's a matter of delicacy, somethings I cannot talk about but.." She turns, "Sylivi, How are you?"

"Yeah, she said. I get it, like I said. Hey, Sylvi."

"Hey!" She slows to a stop by them, breathing a bit hard. "Hi, Nadeen, Adam. Great day, huh?" She's beaming.

"I suppose. My saining is..very soon" SHe says "But I suspect that's not what has you in a good mood"

"Your...oh, yeah! How soon?" She stretches as she talks. "I'm just still riding the high of all those dream dances. Three in a day? Whew!"

"Yeah?"

"Three in a day is ... oh... THREE?"

"Three! First there was Ramona the boggan, then Wynette the piskey, and then Wynette's kid, Malcolm the eshu!"

"That's a lot." Adam agrees. "Good stuff."

"Yeah, I got called in to babysit Malcolm while his mom was getting the first lesson at the Lodge, and then Pop! He woke up, too!"
