And mother and daughter work together to prepare things to the latter's satisfaction, Tove thinks lighter touches can work wonders herself but will heed her daughter's preferences.

Dagmar is also minimalist. Tove also gets to help figure out outfit

Casual but nice is what Tove suggests there. Dagmar is an athletic girl and there's no shame in that. Something that brings out her eyes but also allows her to jump for a ball or punch someone's lights out.

A reasonable time later, considering the event and all.... there's a knock at the door.

*knock knock*

Jaymes opens it, and eyes 'the boy'

"Hi Mr. King! Is Sam home?"

"She'll be a moment... " a pause, he opens the door wider and steps to the side.

"Sure." He steps in at what seems to be an invitation. "Thank you!"

Mmph a nod. He glances towards the stairs.

Adam looks too, then back to Jaymes. "Uh. Oh, Sam said you work at that corner store?"

A nod.

"Cool. I, uh, work at Greely's Sporting Goods."

"Heard" A nod.

Then.. "You want a drink or something?"

"Oh, don't go to any trouble please, Mr. King." Politely.

"Mmmph"

"So. Uh. Oh, I, uh, watched Sam practice ball a few times. She's really good."

"Very" A nod.

"Do you get to go to her games? Or Mrs. King?"

"Yes"

"Cool." A cheerful grin.

Sam heads downstairs - jeans, long-sleeved t, necklace. Her hair is down.

A glance over to his daughter.

Adam looks over too. "Hey. You look great." with a smile.

Adam is wearing a loose Henley, short-sleeved, in dark green, and tan shorts, sneakers; he might have found something summer-casual preppy.

BLUSH. "Uh. Thanks." Smile.

"You... you ready to go?"

"mmm" (How long?)

She nods. "So, the movie is over at nine...." A look at Jaymes.

Soft nod

"See you at 10, honey" Tove says

"10, yes, Mr. and Mrs. King." Adam says responsibly.

"Thank you, Adam. If something comes up and you're going to be a bit late... give us a call and if need be we'll come get you" Tove says

"Yes, Ma'am." he nods.

A wave to her parents.

"Have... a good time, honey" Jaymes says with effort.

And Adam ushers her out to his car.

"So, what do you want to see?" He grins charmingly from the driver's seat.

"Well, there's Fast & the Furious... and then there's some horror movies..."

He nods. "Listen, if you want to see a chick flick, that's ok. Some of 'em are pretty good."

Nose-wrinkle. "Nah. Do you like Fast and the Furious? It's got the Rock AND Vin Diesel..."

"Yeah, sure! Ok, you got it." He heads for that theater. "You like, you know, popcorn and stuff?"
