"Dude...." Adam offers his hand.

He looks at the hand as if confused for a moment, then shrugs and takes it in his own, smaller, clammy one. It's like grasping a moist, cold fish.

Adam grins anyway, and shakes, and lets him go. "We cool."

"I guess so. Don't try to get Dirk to play anything though. He only sits through family game night because the snacks keep coming. I tried to get him to playtest a dungeon with me and he ate the dice."

"I'm staying away from Dirk."

"How'd he get on your bad side?" How, not why, no surprise there. "I'm not gonna ask how you got on his, because he only has the one side."

A shrug. "He tried to front on me. I stepped up. So now we got beef."

He shrugs back. "Hey, that's your choice. Try to get at least one good hit he'll remember and he might respect you after."

"Hey, I gotta get to chemistry. Catch you later?"

"Chem? Yeah, cool. Later."

H waves to Adam and Dagmar before shuffling off.

"So, anyways... hey, you think maybe you'd wanna game with us? I just trust Symon to pick whatever...."

A grateful smile, enthusiastic. "Yeah. I'd like that."

"Cool. So Pennons training, and D&D, and Pennons is in October..."

"Hey, have you ever seen A Knight's Tale?"

"Yeah, sure! Like a Ren Fair but....."

"But real, yeah."

"Yeah!"

"Goooolden years....." He slides over, and back "Cha-cha-cha....."

She laughs at that, and tries to do a little bit of the dance, too.

He echos that, and bow, but all with a grin.

"THat's a really great movie. Chaucer is funny."

"Yeah." His gaze lingers.

"You want to go get that ice cream?"

"Oh! Sure!" Another grin.

A bright grin. "C'mon. I'll drive." He leads the way to his car.

"Cool. Oh man, you're gonna like Pennons. Hey, maybe you'll get to ride Stormwake during training?

"Sam, I don't care if all I do is ... shovel." A grin "I just... want to be part of it, yeah?"

"Oh, I get that."

"Chief is the one jousting, but we get to help? Be down there, not just up in the stands?"

"Or, even, there?"

"For sure!"

Adam takes them to get ice cream. With MIX INs.....

"Get whatever you want." He offers, and gets his own rockyroad order.

"Really? Oh.. wow. Okay..."

At the table, poking his ice cream cup.... "So..... uh. question."

"yeah?"

"So. You... dating anyone?"

BLUSH. She shakes her head. "I don't.. really.. date."

He stirs his dish. "You wanna?"

"Date?" Blink.

"Yeah. Me."

"I... I dunno. It seems like a lot of pressure..." She fidgets. "Sylvi has a..."

She stops.

"...You?"

Adam shrugs. "Yeah. I don't care about the guy Sylvi's seeing."
