But what most folks don't know is that there are alwayhs protestors against a war. There were folks who protested America going to war for World War 2. Vietnam was a lot muddier than that one, so naturally folks would ah.. object." He moves to the map

Shrug, grumble - but she's listening.

And he goes on... and is engaging, even from a troll pov... was this an honorable war? It sure.. sure seemed like if it started out that way it lost that path.

Dagmar is less sure it started that way.

Indeed... this was no World War 2 with clear need to save an entire continent.

And the speech goes on, with some unsettling homework.

Unsettling how?

A paper on how would have acted if you were a general, or the president, etc.

Dagmar has OPINIONS on the draft.

And OPINIONS about intervening without just cause.

And expected to have them.. but back them up

And SO MANY OPINIONS about the burden of responsibility when one has more strength than their opponent.

"you okay? " Siv asks in the hallway, "You look ticked"

"Well, did you know..." And Dagmar is off about the US violating the Code of Dagda, in not quite those words...

Siv nods a lot, letting Dagmar get it out, and frowning agreeably at the worst parts.

Though "I do feel sorry for the folks left behind to be slaughtered... " Then she mutters "Reminds me kind of the sidhe running back to Arcadia leaving the loyal kith behind"

"Oh, I didn't even get started on the bui-doi!"

"I probably shouldn't " Siv says "And in order to change the subject.. ah, would May want to know where J.C will be after school?"

"Oh yes..."

"Well, he's got cheerleader.. or I guess for him Spirit Leader practice.... And it's open for viewing. I thought maybe she'd like to sit in the bleachers"

"She won't go alone.. well, I could go with her..."

"If you want, I can be there?" Siv says "but she'd probably prefer you"

Shrug. "Sure."

"She's my friend, I'll be there for her - y'know?"

"I know," Siv smiles, "Your middle name is Loyal... Samantha Loyal King"

Adam wanders past.

"Hey, Adam" Siv nods

"Oh. Hey. Hi, Sam." He pauses, shifting the pack on his shoulder.

Siv raises a brow.

"What?"

"Nothing" siv chuckles "How's it going?"

A shrug. "Fine."

"Dandy. How's basketball ? You hit varsity I hear?"

He nods. "Yeah. Small forward, but I figure I'll move up next year."

"Good on you then," Siv says. "Nab and you working things out?" said a bit lower

"Yeah." His voice drops too and he looks away.

"I'm glad. " Siv says and means it

His cheeks pink a little.

Siv doesn't seem to notice.

Adam clears his throat. "So, yeah."

"Any more trouble for your family? The uhm.. well, no more dangerous ones?" Meaning the chimera

"Not that I've seen."

"Good" A smile returned, "I know you and Dirk don't always ah.. gel. So if you want maybe another one of can take the patrols there"
