"On your street" She says

Adam thinks for a moment, shrugs. "Whatever you guys want. I can stay away from Dirk."

"Fantastic, how goes the staff training?"

Adam glances at Sam, nods. "Good. I think."

"Dandy." Siv says

Adam scuffs at the floor with his sneaker'd toe.

"He's doing real good. Getting it in his muscles and out of his head."

He flashes Sam a quick grin.

Siv nods "That can be tricky... overthinking can get your skull ccracked"

"He got some hits on me the other day." Proud.

"-Barely.-" he emphasizes "And you've cracked my skull."

"Ah, you look okay" A grin from Siv

"Oh, barely. Just to get your attention."

Adam makes a dismissive noise and rubs his head.

"Been there myself" Siv admits... and pats Adam on the shoulder "Just remember to Dodge, Dip, Duck, Dive, and Dodge"

"Siv is fast, yeah."

Adam glances at his shoulder, at Siv, and nods, shifting away. "Yeah, ok. I will."

"I'll catch you two later" Siv says to both. "I need to check on another friend"

Adam watches her go, glances at Sam. "So."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah. So. How's it going?"

"Oh! Chief wanted me to talk to you! So, like, you don't know about Pennons yet, do you?"

"What?"

"It's a holiday, that's all tournaments - jousting and tourneys and fighting...."

"Anyhow, Chief wants to train the two if US to help her with the joust!"

"Getting her in armor, helping with Stormwake, handling lances..."

"Me?"

"Yeah. The two of us."

"If it was a real holiday, we'd get a day off school." A whisper sneaks in from somewhere behind the trolls. "Good luck telling my dad it's Pennons."

"Whatever, we'll cover for you."

Adam looks around. "Symon?"

He snickers. "I tried telling him there was a measles outbreak once... he was ready to storm into the office and demand to know why they didn't have mandatory vaccinations yet... I was grounded SO HARD that year." He leans around past Dagmar and nods to Adam. "Sup. You got volunteered for page work I see. It sounds fun and knightly but ya gonna end up mucking out something, I bet."

"Uh. Sam, are you sure you have that right? -She- wants -me-?"

"Yeah. She wants you. And me. Us."

"Mucking ain't that bad...."

He eyes Adam critically, in a way that might make him blush if Symon was a girl... "You've got pretty good musculature, probably at least two dee eight plus 4 by the Ravenfetch scale... and you're not as solid as most trolls, no offense Dags, so you can move and probably twist well, some jousters plant too hard behind the quintain and they get popped out of the saddle like a flipped bottlecap. Yeah, I bet you could learn to joust."

"You use Ravefetch?"

"Yeah, it makes more sense than D&D post 2nd Ed." A glance at Adam, recalculating, and a small grin.

"What about Five-ed?"

A dismissive shrug. "It's tailored to hipsters and casuals. I mean, I'm glad they are playing, pump more money into the industry by all means, but it's become like, the White Claw of RPGs."

Adam laughs. "Well......"

"Yeah, but if it's easier to get people on board? Let's -play-."

"Oh, yeah, totally. You gotta start somewhere. My first game was Land of Lowlight, playing Zombie: the Crunchening. Now THOSE are some -nerds-."

Adam laughs again.

"You -played- that? I thought I was the only one!"

A laugh. "Damn, I wish I'd know that before I admitted it, then I could have made fun of you."

"Sy, you can probably do that anyway."

"I only mock people who can't beat me up, or can't hear me. So, mostly the latter."

Adam grins. "Where on that am I?"

"That would be telling." A slightly smug look, or maybe he's just avoiding giving Adam another of those gross toothless grins.
