"That's another house. Okay, so kith is.. like, troll or sidhe or boggan."

"Yeah....."

"House is... like Game of Thrones?"

"So while most nobles are sidhe, you don't need to be side to be titled, or to be in a house. More rare, again, it's mostly sidhe. But, like - Chief and me, we're both Gwydion. Frank's a Liam. Vali is a Beaumayn."

"I didn't make it all the way through those books..... But yeah, I see. Frank's got a curse on him because he's that house, right?"

"Well... sort of. Like how I sort of do, too.."

"What, being able to tell if someone's lying?"

"Least his... I mean, his is that you get that funny feeling, right? It's not fair, because Frank's pretty decent. Liam protect mortals first, and doing THAT pissed off a king, that's why..."

"No..."

"Gwydion..."

"So, you know... you know how the Hulk, like, sometimes just loses it?"

Adam nods.

"So... if I lose it, I lose it." She frowns, lookign down. "I'll just...go. Attack whatever, whoever.."

"And way I am.. like, I could hurt.. I could kill..."

"I could kill somebody, not even meaning to."

An encouraging grin. "You wouldn't hurt me."

"That's why it's a curse. You, or Dad, or... like, Connor..."

"You won't attack your Dad. Or Connor. He's confusing, but cute."

"I don't want to hurt anybody, not my friends or family."

"You won't!"

"Not on purpose."

"Xactly."

"But if I lose control..."

"But you don't!"

"I can't. I won't."

"But that's the curse. So... "

"So?" Adam continues to listen, learning.

"So, I gotta act knowing the risk. And there's other boons and curses. Like Vali..."

And so it goes, talking about the houses.

Adam learns, gaining perspective.....
