He sighs.

"Fine" she says again, and lets it go.

Then "you know your sister is kinain right?"

"Huh?" Startled.

"She's got fae blood? Did she share the same dad? doesn't seem likely, so where does she get it from?"

"No, mom and dad had her after they were married. She does? Oh, man....." troubled.

"This is a bad thing?"

"Yeah!" He runs his fingers through his hair. "I mean..."

"Man, this'll suck. She shouldn't have to go thrpugh this, she's just a kid!"

"Go through what?" Nabuni looks about

"This bullshit!! All this -waiting- and -patience- and... and.... arrgh!!"

"Apparently she doesn't care too much, though you'd have to ask her judgmental little doll"

"I don't wanna talk to a -doll-."

"Me neither. She's a prissy bitch"

"Man....." glum.

"Hey, if it helps, your sister doesn't seem to be stressing like you are. Sometimes younger kids just roll with it better"

Adam grunts.

The chimera stares at him quietly for awhile

Finally he sighs and drags himself to his feet.

"Come on, it's not so bad right?" She says "You're a cool kid with super powers.. okay, not like flying or anything but still."

"Ffft." A dismissive sound.

A pause "Would you like me to go away?"

"No....." mopey.

"Okay. " She sits down again "I just wish I knew how to cheer you up "

A helpless shrug. "I mean..... I just gotta wait, right?"

"Not just gotta wait. You can have fun man. Date girls. Talk to kithain you like... I mean, seriously, do you ONLY like Sam/Dagmar because she might get you into the lodge?"

"Nah! She's cute! I like her."

"Good! See. You got friends out of this. That's a win, right?"

"Yeah....."

"Who's the macho stud with the fae blood?" She sings "Adam! you're damn right. Who's kinain, who walks in fairy lands... Adam! You're damn right."

She sways in a 70s dance and snap kind of thing

He just kind of blinks at her, stupified.

She grins, "Oh come on, it's funny"

"What was that?"

"Never heard the song 'Shaft'?"

"Noooooo...."

"Oh so sad that the legends of culture.. tell you what, Youtube it. You'll at least get an intro"

"Ok."

"Feeling better?" She tries to pat him.. and falls through again "I keep forgetting about that"

A little shrug. "Appreciate the effort."

"Well, I like you" she says

A quirk of his lips, a small smile. "Thanks."

"So, what's the plan?"

"Don't have one, really."

"Well, what are you in the mood for?"

A sigh. "I dunno." He pulls put his phone thinking. "Sam is probably busy. Amira.... she has parent issues, hard to get in touch without blowing it. Lana..... maybe."

"Maybe. " She says

He shrugs, and dials.
