"I've got enough for both I assure you" She assures Dagmar, then nods to Sylvi and hands over some of the less powerful stuff

"Hmph." Dagmar takes the spicy!

Lupita says "Bring on the real deal for me. Spicy? Ha."

The food is delicious, spicy or mild.

Though Lupita does make little 'woo' sounds when she think sam isn't listening

"It's not an endurance competition...it's dinner!" Sylvi defends her choice and digs in. "MMmmmmmm...."

Tove mutters into her own food, "Course if it was, someone would be looosing" after all, she maybe a mom, but she's still a wilder. Then she winks at the girls 'Teasing"

"Tove's an awesome cook, spicy or not." Kvelling.

Sylvi rolls her eyes, and goes ahead and enjoys the good food.

"It's really good" Lupita says.

Lupita's eyes drift ..and she slows her eating.

"Thanks, now, Sylvia, you're going first string this year for cheerleader or do you know yet?"

"Lupe, May and me are starting!"

Lupita's eyes drift to a part on the floor "Yep. Gonna be awesome"

"I know it will, you three were amazing to watch last year.. and you've only gotten better" Tove beams "I brag about Sam all the time, Lupita. I bet your mom brags about you."

"Oh...mostly it's about the brothers.. now my dad, he gets like super embarrassing goofy at games" Lupita says..she breaks looking at that spot only for a moment "And you should be proud. Sam's got a rocket for those three pointers"

"Lupe?" Worried note.

"They haven't put out the list of squads yet. Tomorrow, I think. My try-outs were good, I'm pretty sure...."

"Oh hey Sam..sorry... Lost my train of thought is all" Lie. Something is going on

"This is a nice house, thank you for inviting me." Lupe glances at that spot "I would never think of coming in here without an invitation."

Sylvi watches, Lupita, her fork paused half-way to her mouth. A glance to Tove.

Tove nods to Sylvia "Well, Nadeen seems to think you two will excell this year. You have some amazing new moves planned I hear?"

Then she looks at Lupita "Everything okay, Lupita?"

And she looks in the direction Lupe is staring.

"Oh yeah.. fine fine"

"Um..." A frown.

"Well, consider it an invitation? You're my friend, you're welcome here."

"Thanks...thanks" Both Dagmar and Sylvi catch Lupita making a 'shoo shoo' motion, seemingly to thin air.

with her hand under the table, but they catch it.

Odin comes down the steps, slow prowl, stalker mode.

Sylvi frown and ....drops her fork. "Whoops." She bends to retrieve it...and to check under the table.

Sylvi doesn't see a darn thing...well, except Odin maybe, who is doing that ... 'one to get ready' motion cats do before a lunge.

"Um...Odin's hunting something...." she says.

Eyebrow.

And Odin lunges forward and chases...nothing...? zooming about the place.

"...Weirdo Cat."

"Serves you right, snoop" Lupita might be heard whispering.

Sylvi grins. "Or he's just got the zooms. Cat crazies."

Tove laughs "I guess he's feeling his oats."

"Yeah, he likes to do that at, like, 3 am..."

"Amazing you get any sleep" Lupita says

"Pets make their own schedules." Sylvi nods, and goes back to finishing her dinner. "This is great, Tove."

"Right?"

"Thanks. Maybe at this fall's food contest" She says speaking code for PEnnons "I'll actually be able to beat your mother in one category"

"Oh, oh, oh, make your jalapeno muffins!"

"I don't know if shrimp dishes would keep well for a competition. And...well, Mom's pretty good...." Sylvi grins with understatement.

"Yeah? You think they have a chance?" Speaking of the muffins

"Miss Kerri is good, but she doesn't make jalapeno muffins."

"I've tasted your mom's cooking, Sylvia. SHe's beats my mom's pants off. Not that I would tell mama that" Lupita says
