"Sounds good. Can I use the sink?"

"Uh-huh." Dag turns on the sink - cupping her hands for a second under the faucet and splashing her face.

Voices up stairs "Maybe we could provide room?//"We're sort of short of space"/"I know, but Anne Marie says he's a sweet kid."/"he's also a danger to the lodge"

Adam grins and 'muscles in' to do the same; washing and splashing his face.

A glance up, but no comment. She gets glasses.

"He can't help what he is" Tove says//"I know that. But I think our home is a bit too close is all"

"Ohhh, there IS gatorade! You like the blue?"

"Yeah, I like blue." Grin.

"Well, maybe Dad, but his cabin's so small" Tove's voice/Jaymes grunts "True. It is further away but not so far away we can't keep an eye, but your dad is a bit long in the tooth for babysitting childrearing isn't he?"//"He's not dead yet, Jaymes But I still think we should do it"

Dag grabs two bottles and lobs one at Adam.

He catches it, but there's some effort there.

And then footsteps...

"Another week, I bet you'll be fast."

Tove enters into view, "How's it going?"

"Hey Tove. We did okay, yeah. Practice." She downs half the bottle in one swig.

"I see. He held up?" She asks curiously

"We got... damn, what, a good hour in?"

"Hi, Mrs. King. Yeah, about an hour. No big. Basketball practice is longer." Shrug, nod.

"Well, staff is a fine weapon despite the humble nature of it. I don't know if you two are up on tales of Samurai?"

"I was thinking that Robin Hood movie. Hey, you think Little John was a troll?"

"Very likely, Little John is always described as as being troll sized. If he wasn't a troll he likely had troll blood. And, of course, by now, there are many variations of the Robin Hood Dream throughout the Dreaming itself. "

"Bet Robin was a sidhe, though."

She finishes off her Gatorade and goes hunting for a snack.

"I read about Samurai. They're a sub-class in, uh...." He trails off and drinks Gatorade. "Robin Hood is cool." He agrees.

"Sub class in what?"

"Uh. Game." He glances at her. "Symon plays, he says."

"Maybe... " Tove says to the sidhe theory, "But I understand the pooka claim disney got it right and he was a Fox pooka. But then, when Pooka claim something..." A shrug, then "The reason I ask about the Samurai was there was this great Swordsman among the Samurai. Miyamoto Musashi! Miyamoto was the greatest of the Samurai and fought over a thousand duels in his life time. He only lost one...to a man named Muso Gonnosuke ... who did not use a sword, but a simple weapon of wood."

"Mazes & Monsters? Something else? Maybe we can get you in on the campaign. I have a Paladin."

A small grin. "Yeah? Suits you. I was hoping people around here played... man, was I aiming small." A light laugh.

"Nonsense, it's the small imaginings that take seed." Tove says to Adam, "You two have your drinks, did you need snacks?"

"Yes, if that's ok Mrs. King."

"Oh.." A sheepish grin as she stands by the cupboard. "Yes, please."

"More than fine, mmm we have some left over Barbecue meat... you two want a sandwich each?" She starts to get the materials out "And vinegar or mustard?"

Nose-wrinkle. "We have that honey-barbecue sauce left?"

"Why yes we do..." A grin.

"Yeah, thanks!" Enthusiastic. "Oh, me too." For the sauce.

And she prepares them both a small snack "You're both welcome. Maybe ADAM would appreciate Lutefisk"

"Fish?"

"To-ove!" In the classic "mo-om' two-tone.

"Okay okay, nevermind Adam. It can wait. Right now, enjoy your snack you two. I'll scoot and stop embarrasing my daughter" Though as she says that she gives Dagmar a smooch between the horns before heading off

Chewing, Adam grins.

Siiiigh.

"It's cool." He assures her.

A little purple, but a smile/shrug.

"Tove just doesn't get it."

Another grin that says 'Cute.'
"What grown up does?"

"Yeah." She agrees. "I guess I don't mind that much. Not her fault."

That sandwich is disappearing fast. "Yeah."

"Man." He swallows the last of the sandwich and stretches. "That was a workout."

"Mmph." Slightly noncommittal.
