"It doesn't happen that easy. It's hard... I'm not great at it, I've only gotten it to happen a few times."

She's not purple - there's a grey undercast to the blue, and she's sweating again.

"Hey, you ok?" Concern.

A nod. "Kinda queasy. Might need some water, you know?"

"Hey, ok, yeah.... sorry, c'mere....." sympathetic, he tucks the ball under one arm and crosses to her.

She wipes a hand over her face and tacks on a smile.

He throws an arm over her shoulder to go into the house together.

It is a bit of a reach for her shoulder. And she manages to be blanched AND blushed as his bare side presses against her.

Adam is genuinely more worried about getting her in the cool for some water. He snags his shirt on the way in.

Dagmar finds she is thirsty, and gulps down the water.

Adam gets her to sit down in the kitchen. "You want some ice?"

She sits, but shakes her head. "Musta been thirsty." Indeed, she's finished the glass already.

He pulls his shirt on. "Want another?"

A quiet nod. Her curls stick to her damp face and neck. It really isn't that hot out.

He gets her one, looking for an ice maker on the fridge, then inside for ice trays.

"Here. Want me to see if you have more Gatorade? Or, uh, your folks?"

"I'm okay. You think you'll come over tomorrow?"

"Yeah." He sits next to her. "You sure?"

She nods. "Uh-huh. Can't let you relax just when you're starting to get it!"

He laughs, appreciative. "I thought we didn't' get nothin' from that?"

Purple, shrug, faint smile.

"I think I'm gonna go take a shower before dinner. So... um.."
catnik 5:19pm
"So, like, tomorrow? "
shadylady 5:20pm
"Yeah, see you tomorrow." He stands up. "Uh. I know there was some stuff but.... yeah, thanks for sticking with me. This stuff is.... hard."

"Give it time. They've gotta see you're a good guy."
shadylady 5:24pm
Frustrated noise, but he nods. "Yeah. I guess." Dubious. "Ok. Feel better. Text me if you want to cancel tomorrow? I'd understand if you don't feel good. I'll practice."

"Okay. Seeya." She stands, too, and manages a smile for him as he goes.

Another hesitation, a bright smile, and he leaves.
