Gwen gets to the room before Briar can do too much damage, she hopes. "You know the door is closed for a reason?"

Briar by now has found a lot of useless crap. Snow globe with some lame island in it, an Easter Island Head wood carving smaller than a football, two coconut shells on tongs that make horse trot sounds if you open and close them...

The globe was shaken violently then tossed aside (unharmed), she is sniffing the coconut shells now, "Hey, we could f-ck with Dee with these..."

A guilty look "I know"

"Is it for me?!" BIG GRIN

"Oh, I could get Rochallor blamed for SO MANY THINGS..."

Gwen says "I was thinking Bluebell would like em, but sure.. also this is yours" She reaches and pulls out a T shirt "I saw this and thought of you"

"Or, heck, Julius! When some snooty ladies are staying for Pennons, just clippy clop outside their door when Bluebell is around.."

The art work on the shirt is pretty bitching

She drops the shells and grabs the shirt.

"Whoa.... bitchin!"

"I mean if you were a shark, you totally go to town on those stuffed shirts..." A smile

"What do you mean, if?"

TOOTHY GRIN.

"I think I know my Halloween costume now."

"Aww, point" She picks up the discarded shell tongs "Oh? Oh yeah, that would be a cool Samhain outfit"

The shirt is a touch on the big side for the redcap but only a little. Meaning she can wear it now and likely a year from now

She might try.... but the way Briar is on clothes, none seem to last that long, alas.

She's already pulling it on over her other shirt, and admiring it.

She looks her friend over "Yup. I think it captures your essence"

Ivan helps himself in through the open door.

Gwen looks over at her dog and smiles

"You know the mutt ain' supposed to be in here."

"Gonna narc on me?" She says petting the dog

"Fuck no. Ain't a rat."

"Good, because I really missed the big lug" She pets him "Okay. Briar, what's the truth on how bad this plague got? Mom acts like it was 'oh nothing' and even their lordships have this 'let's move on' thing. What happened really?"

"I was FINE." She grumbles. "Just a cold. Can we talk about something ELSE?"

"You too?" A surprised look "Man, NO One wants to talk about it. Who got it first around here?"

"Fuck if I know. Just keeled over."

"Well if it got you, it must have been a nasty one indeed. Fine. I'll change the subject. Anything else i missed around here besides the virus?"

Nadeen is happy to see responses to the Pennons invites coming in. Anything dealing with animals she shows promptly to Aiden

He looks over the responses with interest and growing enthusiasm. "Look, here, I've sent missives to this lord on no less that three - THREE occasions, and never once the courtesy of a response - and now He begs an invite! Ha. I am tempted to refuse."

"Oh Aiden" But amused, she glances at it, then says "mm you could put them at the bottom of the pile, then let them come, but deliberately mispell the name of the Lord's hold. Just once, mind you.So he can't accuse you of having done it on purpose without seeming thinskinned"

"Ha! Perhaps a particularly chosen staging ground as well. Towards the far end of the racing paddock. A good view, to be sure, but also where the dung tends to gather."

A chuckle "Let's not start a war, but yes it might make a point. mm what's he hoping to show off? Hawk, Hound or Horse?"

"Hawks." He answers.

"How is Blossom coming along?"

"I understand she is working on her own dressage routine that incorporates several of the raptors."

"Though, when I asked to see, she told me it was a private rehearsal." He sounds amused. "The little one has spine."

"She dared?" But it is with a note of being impressed, "Ironically, Sir Sergei has been something of a tutor to her and his skills far surpass mine.. I don't think she'll win, too much talent out there, but I think she will hold her own, and given her young age that will give us glory anyway"

“I believe miss Bluebell gave tips for the dressage portion, though not the hawks.”

"Oh .. should we be worried?"

"I mean, Bluebell can be.. humorous"

“I do not believe her pranks would lend towards public humiliation. Not when age herself has had the experience of being on stage.”

“Also, I believe her wise enough to not ostracize one who commands raptors.”

"A VERY fair point" She concedes "I do find it interesting that our Blossom fancies herself a young Athena. The birds are some of the few creatures sshe is willing to share the limelight with"

She sorts through the invites "Did you ever decide if there would be a Frisbee contest for the dogs?"

"Those games pander to light, agile dogs, and it is a pastime that serves no valuable purpose. If we had collies, perhaps whippets or coursers, it might show off their speed and dexterity. However, without any such, we would be at a disadvantage, and I would fain rather avoid such."
