"Oh! I will then, gladly." He picks up the package from Thistle after carefully setting the shield aside, and opens it!

Inside is a book, the cover decorated with stars and spheres!

"Oh that's lovely" Gladiola says

"It's a sketchbook, for when you get visions. You can write or draw things down..."

"You made this? With the Bookbinder - it didn't crush your finger this time, did it?" Worriedly checking her nails for signs of bloodblisters again.

Running his fingers along the soft cover and the filigree, delicately, almost reverently.

"I found the fabric at the store, I didn't custom paint it..."

"I mean, I added some details..."

"See? Fornax!" She points.

"Well, no, if you had painted it, then Boötes wouldn't be at perihelion... OH!" He notices, and grins! This time he DOES tap the little dragon who raises his head and sneezes before looking too.

"Thistle made us this book." He says to Fornax softly.

"Book!" The little dragon announces! "Album, edition, atlas... TOME!"

Nadeen races a brow "Mmm and the cover fabric even matches his new eyes"

"You like it okay?"

"I wonder if you or Wudlig, maybe can add a lock to it for me... then I can keep it safely at home."

"It's really a good idea too" Gladiola nods

"Not that I want to put it down!"

Wudlig says "Oh yeah, about that. Sure happy to help with the lock though I bet newblood can think of something too. But.. about MY gift to you, Squire?"

He blinks. "I did not expect one.. I mean, that is... well." His ears pink. "I did not think I had ingratiated myself sufficiently to expect gifts." A bit humbly.

Wudlig says "You kidding? I furking LOOK for excuses to try stuff out"

Then rolls her eyes at Wudlig.

Art... laughs! "I have been a bit of a heel. More than once, and to good folk who did not in the least deserve it."

"Turn your stair well, JUST as solid mind you, into a book shelf set. Now...to keep it secure, it would also have to have a false cover that hides it's nature..."

"Oh! Could you do that with the stairs up to the storage loft? They're situated..." He starts to go into detail, excited!

"Oh sure.." He says rattling on "Gonna want the right kind of furking wood to discourage vermin that would eat the paper..."

Meanwhile, Citrine is poking at the viscous puddle formed under the wrapped device. It might be sizzling a little.

"HEY" Gwen says then gently "Mother would like Thistle to have a chance to open that" She points gently

Art pauses, and looks a bit sheepish. "Sorry, Thistle. I love the book, I do." He nods to Wudlig, promising future conversation.

Wudlig rubs at his ears where Gwen yelled
