Thistle! Citrine looks up when that name is mentioned!

And yes, she dives into the pile of presents!

"Ah, there we go." She moves to see which one is being sought

The flamethrower is ignored - the lovely box with the varnished wood and silver clasps with the Cattecombe marking on it, useless. The gift from Al, spurned... oh! There! As Nadeen taps a small, humbly wrapped parcel, Citrine goes "Chime! CHIME CHIME!"

She picks up the humbly wrapped pacel "I don't suppose you can carry a spear back as well?" She slips something into the parcel then offers it to Citrine, curious if she can carry that

Citrine takes hold of the ribbon around the parcel, and starts to be weighed down... her wings buzz valiantly... and then - POP!

The little Never is gone, just as abruptly as she appeared.

"Good. " A nod " A most curious interuption but it gives hope"

Aiden says, "Marvelously done, my Lady."

The murmurs are now excited, and cheerful.

He does not understand, but plays it off effortlessly as a preplanned and coordinated idea.

"Where were we, ah yes, Sir Raziel was being a gentleman and offered a heart felt apology, we graciously accept, and in return thank him for caring enough to try to help his countess in trying to help those under our care. Please, Sir Raziel, food and drink. Let's toast to their good fortune all. May their journey bring them glory and sucess and something perhaps even more dear"

And she grabs a glass to make the toast official

Julius quickly makes sure that glasses are full all around. Aiden raises his glass. "To good fortune, for our own here and afar."

"Hear hear" Dame Lavender says

The tension broken, the party continues, uninterrupted.

Aiden offers a small note over to Nadeen. "Mister Aberdeen left this for you."

"Oh I hope he found the food I mentioned" She does take the note

and reads it

It is quite innocuous and unpoisoned, and written in a clear and polite hand thanking the Baroness for the gracious invitation, and letting her know that Lizbet accepts her offer of assistance with her togail, to be held one month hence at the local funeral parlor. "As she does very much hope that the new fledges may attend in desire to make new acquaintance with them as a Wilder, we will both be hoping for their expedient and safe return."

"Last I had heard, it was hoped to be held sooner." Aiden murmurs. "I admit that the postponement, though brief, may come as a relief."

"Dangerous to delay a togail too long" SHe says reading it "But it is her choice"

"Between you and I? The girl does not seem to have many companions. There are few childlings in Silverwolf, and she and Briar do not get along. Sluagh tend to the solitary, but even they can get the itch to socialize as Wilder blood warms even the clammiest souls."

A brow lift "Later we'll talk about things between you and I, but yes. I suppose I should restrain my House's distrust somewhat.. they are kithain under our rule and we must provide ..within reason"

"To the contrary, I find your caution reassuring."

"mmm" She says then says "How are Greg and Janice? I saw you conversing with them, comforting them it looked like?"

"They are..." He considers. "They have hope, now. It has helped a great deal. Should Thistle..." He pauses, and- "Should our Wilder's quest succeed? I promised them the use of Chicanery and whatever needs necessary to ensure that the child is smoothly integrated into their lives, as simply as if she never left it."

"you are the sweetest most vexing man" She says looking both very adoring and put out at the same time with him, "Yes, of course. We'll provide."

"I have known loss." He says, simply. "Brought by my own hands. How much more bitter for them, who have done nothing wrong? It is the least I can do. Let it be my saining gift to Thistle, perhaps."

"She does not know how hard you fight for her and Arthur. One day they will" A look at him "I think we become tyranical in detaining our guests. I have gifts to give out to the children and childlings for play time when they get home. Then we'll let it wind down."

He glances over at her, his expression cool and calm like a motionless lake - but... he smiles with his eyes. She can read him like a book.

Gifts are given to childlings and children, with instructions not to play with them until they get home. Of course, this means the childlings will want to go home sooner, and thus pressure is put on any lollygagging parents or guardians

"Great party, Baroness."

"So impressive - never seen a Naming like that..."

"Do you think I can get that chickedee's number?" This from the Weasel Pooka, eyeing where Dame Artemis is finished cleaning away the last vestiges of her chalk bunkery.

"Well good guests make the party"/ "Nor have I, but it shan't be forgotten . Thank you"// "I did most of my communication with her through the Countess and I fear she's occupied."

Soon, the guests have gone and Marigold is supervising cleanup.

The delegation from Bold Heart has set off as well!

And Nadeen takes a long breath. "Well done members of Silverwolf. That could have gone much worse"

Julius clips over, and offers a small sheaf of papers. "Several of Trina's friends bear watching as potential dreamers. I've included notes here."

"Thank you, Julius. " She pats his shoulder and looks to Marigold "Marigold, you should know. An omen reveals your daughter still lives, and of course, the Never Express is hopeful as well. Gladiola is a knight stawlart and true, and with two friends. She'll be fine" I hope

Marigold NODS FIRMLY. "I had no doubt at all. I have faith in my Gwennie to pull them through." Neverthe less she does seem reassured.

A look to Aiden "AIden, I'll require a private talk with you, soon."

And she walks off, heels clicking

He watches her, then sharply heel turns and walks the other way.
