She gently shoos the critter towards the door.

No droppings - then again, Chimerical creatures sometimes - well, let's just say that the book "Everybody Poops" is not necessarily true in the dreaming. It might be rude to ask!

"Okay, what IS with all the nevers?" he asks

The magenta marmot tries to stick near Thistle's feet, which makes herding it hard.

"What? Nevers are kinda... everywhere, right? They're like robins. Or bumblebees."

"Oy, chubster." She picks it up.

"Wheek wheek?" It squeaks through large buck teeth.

"No kitchen for overgrown groundhogs." The nocker goes to deposit the chimera outside.

"Wait, it's a guinnea pig? And no.. Nevers aren't that common"

There is a moment of scratching at the door, but after Thistle moves away, it goes silent... wandered off.

"Well, they're common around here."

then from the garden, there is a hawk cry, and Blossom yells "YES! Good work"

Thistle winces, spirals shifting blue. "Aw, dammit."

The Spahgethios lasagna pasta bake is.. odd. weird. But you know what, it's looking pretty good and smelling better

She chafes her upper arms, trying not to think about it.

"Hey, you okay?" He asks

The sound of Marigold's car pulling up.

She mumbles something.

"Hey, Marigold's back!"

"Oh that's nice" he says fighting the urge to borrow that spatula. I'ts fantastic

Perfectly balanced. An ergonomic handle. Shiny, shiny silver finish.... how would it feel in his hand?

"Extra dessert for anyone who comes help with groceries!" Her voice calls out!

"Coming!"

Chi-i-i-i-i-me? An echo from within the largest stock pot.

He opens it "How the hell?" So distracted is he, he has to put the spatula some place safe... like his pants pocket

The bright blue never zips out through the cracked vent into Thistle's workshop. The goldish one out a window into the garden, and the Yellowy one - Citron - follows Thistle herself. It seems the little sillies know Marigold's voice, and make themselves (mostly) scarce!

"Thistle, please take that bag first, it's ice cream to go with the pies..." Murmuring from outside as the spindly looking Nocker is loaded with bags. Luckily, she is surprisingly strong - those muscles are wiry!

And then he goes to see this marigold and help her out "Ma'am" And gets a grocery bag too

"Dorothy Gale here blew in from a trod." Helpful!

He can't help but peek into the sacks. There's no bread here, but 3 different kinds of flour, fresh vegetables, richly-golden cheeses...

And carrying bags in. She knows where things go by now!

"Nice to meet you" Madern says returning in ...

Marigold pauses, considering the newcomer. "Why, how polite. A guest, and out here helping with the groceries?" He has won some points. "Dear me, is that a fashion statement, or are those all bandages? To the kitchen with you, tut tut!"

the prepared dish can't be missed when she goes in "Oh I'm fine now. Thistle there removed the offending epidermis"

Pausing the smell the air. "That's not the arrabiata I was planning... " sniff sniff.

Chime! Citron has opinions, but she is only bold enough to voice them from the shelter of Thistle's hair.

She tracks down the dish, and looks it over, then finds a fork and tries a bit.

It's good. It could be so much better, but given it was barebones scavenging... it's good

Surprised. She takes a second bite. "Thistle, did you make this?"

"Nah, Ernie was playing chemist."

" I couldn't find any catsup" Madern apologizes

"Smells okay to me. Probably not poisonous."

"Ketchup, in spaghetti?"

"In a Sphageteos lasagna pasta bake.... it's just another sauce. " He shrugs

"Ernie, is it?" She can't help it, she's already moving for the spice rack. Pepper, a touch of paprika.

"...fleur de sal, I know I had some..."

"Madern, or mad Ernie... fleur de what?"

"Oh, it's a little tin with a cork top, I must have run out. Kosher salt it is, but sparingly..." She gestures Ernie over and hands him a fork. "How's this, then?"

"Oh" he takes it and if she wants him to try something to eat he will

It's his pasta bake, but enhanced! The touch of finishing salt, the hint of spice - delicious.
