She did take off the apron, and brush off most of the clay.

One Firebrand heading out does notice the nnocker ggirl. She herself is a bogggan "hello?"

"What are you doing?"

"helping relight the balefires of Concordia" She answers

"How many of you are there?"

"Are you all girls?"

"How do you get to be one?"

"Well, about a dozen for Apples, and yes. We're selected, some of us are nominated by nobles, some by a random draw."

She seems patient but bemused

"How many holds will you, yourself, go to?"

"Four" She says

"IN one day?"

"Well, before my lantern is empty" She says

"What hold are you from? We have a boggan, too, you know."

"I met Miss Marigold. She insisted we have a meal. Very nice your steward. I'm from the Duchy of the Steel Heart, what you'd call Penysivania? the Pitsburgh side. Wha's your name, please?"

"Uh. Thistle." She offers out a hand.

She takes it "Mine is Eraniya" she shakes

"That's a cool name."

"thannk you" she blushes "I like Thistle too. It has personality"

"I prickle. Ask anyone. They're usually nicer flowers."

"Sometimes you have to prickle to protect the petals, your own or someone else's" Eraniya says firmly "Learned that with a jerk boyfriend.. pardon, Jerk EX "

"Good thing it's ex." Nod.

A clatter at the front door, and Art dashes in - hair uncombed, jacket mis-buttoned, and he's forgotten to take his boots off in his hurry. "Did I miss them?!"

"Them? The firebrands?"

Thistle reaches out to push back his bangs and fix his coat.

Off to one side, Sylvi turns around at the noise of Art's arrival. She's been hob-nobbing with a group of Firebrands, having done the job herself in the past.

"THE EVERYONE! Everything!" His eyes sparkle with excitement! The young sidhe - no, clearly a wilder, for all that he's short and slender, cranes his head to look around even as Thistle tidies his appearance.

"So, there's about fifteen extra trolls around."

"And more dogs than I can count."

"Did I interrupt? Are you one of the flame-carriers? I'm sorry! Can I see the brand?" He promptly bows to the boggan who Thistle was speaking to.

A grin to Thistle and he mouths his thanks. "How can you tell? There's ALWAYS dogs everywhere. It did seem a bit crowded though. I got the cliff's notes, but I want to hear everything."

"My lord" Eraniya bows "I am. My nname is Eraniya. I'ts much like she said"

She shows her lantern, blazinng

"There's a new trod, but I'm sure we can't go on THAT one, either."

"Oh, I'm no lord. Just a Fledge. Maybe not even a Squire." He says easily, without concern.

And SYLVI finds the firebrands present happy to talk to her. For most of them , this is thei first and only time

"Incredible." He leans in. "How did they create the lantern to hold it? Is this Nocker work?" His fingers itch to touch it, but he shoves them into his pockets to prevent some sort of international incident.

She shares her experience with them. "...but that's nothing like the adventure you've all had!" She's clearly impressed by the lot of them.

"Oh no, not nocker work... Dougal... though dougal has a lot of nockers" the boggan explains

the Eshu girl talking to Sylvi says " Iwish I could remember more.... but I seem to recall you helping to save us"

The Baron himself approaches Sylvi, but wait politely as she discusses. On Imbolc, Firebrands are given the highest dignity, and even the liege does not place himself above them. (Not if he wants to keep himself on the delivery roster for upcoming years, after all.)

PIPER is off sampling some pastries, and politely not remarking how they measure up to Kerri's. "You really don't have a bard at all?" She stares at Dee as though the Knight has two horned heads. "Madness!"

"Dougal is the crafting house?"

"Can I touch it?"

"I helped, I'm pretty sure. So did Piper. But I think my dad, Rover Olgar, is the one who really did the most."
