"We will negotiate to see if guard dogs are required for appropriate security. I happen to have a new litter on the ground, very promising." He nods, a hint of a smile on his lips.

"Guard dogs?" Caesar says "10 percent ownership... your choice of supervisors? I don't mean insult, but no one has been this demanding.. ah, ever, in the ten projects I have going"

Nadeen nods "I'm sure of that, Caesar. But in those areas, did you try to make moves on a property with a noble's ward? However well intended? Thistle is of Silverwolf. She loves her mother, and thus, mortal or no, Diane is under our protection and interest as well. And, with our assitance, you will find an easier path. Believe you me, if Rosemary wanted to stimmy your efforts, she'd find a way."

"The dogs are negotiable. However, I am quite proud of them."

Caesar admits "Well, okay I like dogs. Just surprised"

"He didn't know I was there, Mom doesn't know anything..."

A calming gesture towards Thistle. "Do not worry. This is simply business, and we will ensure that it does not impact your mother."

"Okay..."

Caesar frowns "Tempted to nix this and leave it to you nobles, no insult intended. I'm not used to.. these constraints. I don't care much who gets the credit in channgelingg circles mind you. But if there's a kindn of fall out, I don' want my furry butt being blamed"

She fidgets again. "A better landlord wouldn't suck..."

"Come now, August," Nadeen gestures to Thistle "Think of the young wilders, the childlings. Are we rreally SO unreasonable ?"

"If you start singing the arms of an angel, Baroness, I may roll my eyes. Come on, playing that card?" Caesar huffs

Nadeen smiles "it was worth a shot. If you want to back out after you start, you may sell to others, but we have first right to purchase, at a discounted rate. There, escape clause assured"

"Silverwolf will, of course, contribute to the upkeep. Shall we say, a monthly stipend? Afterall, with even a small ownership interest, it falls to us to support your endeavors. It behooves us to ensure it is a good investment for all involved."

That catches the satyr off guard, and he reappraises the Ailil "that's.. generous. And yes, would help with the problems Thistle pointed out."

"It is one thing to claim a stake as an investment. Another entirely to demand it as a tithe of doing business." He clarifies, with a brief frown.

The Nevers hover close, sensing Thistle's agitation. Chime?

Nadeen glances at the never, then to Thistle "Thistle? "

"Shall we adjourn to negotiation?" Aiden offers.

One of the nevers is examining his pocket square...

She offers a knobby finger for the Never to perch on. "S'fine."

"Let's.. and, Baron? If you don't mind? could I ask you what breed of dog is best with very younng kids?" Caesar says "You're an expert right? "

"Very young?" He considers. "As a guardian, or as a pet? Or, something of both?"

The never perches on her finger, then drops down to dangle from it like monkey bars.

A resigned smile.

Nadeen gives a curious look to Thistle, but follows

"Well, I was tthinkinnng pet, to teach them empatthy for animals..."

"For the very young, you could look for an older, trained dog, one known to be gentle and wise, and willing to put up with youthful exuberance and tail and ear pulling. On the other hand, you may also get a young pup, and raise them together. Such loyalty and bond cannot be bested."

"The Glennies are gentle."

"Fae hounds, of course, are the wisest and best of all canine creation. And yet, they are smart, and must be challenged, so do not do as well if they are just left to their own devices. They must be treated as a member of the household, not merely livestock."

A smile to Thistle. "That they are. Sweet mannered, but smart as anything, even if they do look a bit... clownish at times."

"Nevers like to pull ears as much as babies, and the Glennies are good at avoiding it."

"That is true. They do not snap at the silly things, though they also do not tolerate abuse."

His eyes gleaming a bit now. "Would you like to see our kennels?"

Nadeen nods "A prize and joy for us, Caesar."

"Yeah, I think we can talk business and admire pups at the same time" He nods "Lead on"

"Thistle, you are welcome to join us." He adds, allowing her both an avenue of escape, or the invitition to go along, however she chooses.

"Our Gladiola has been accustoming the most recent pups to human contact. They've opened their eyes, and are starting to crawl about..." As doting as any father, in this, the Baron appears. Equally proud of the Dame it seems.

"I have some things to check on, if that's cool?"

A nod to Thistle. "As you wish. In fact, I believe Bluebell was looking for you." A pause, and he adds, "Though I am not sure why."

"Hard to be sure, with pooka?"

"Thanks , Thistle" Caesar says "For the help"

"Consider yourself duly warned." The Baron says solemnly.

A quirk of a smile. "Noted."

Nadeen looks pleased at something

And Caesar might end up haggling for a dog as part of the 'bargain' to come

-A- dog? Or one for each of his kids? The Baron is a shrewd haggler... TBD

Thistle, meanwhile, is off to her studio!

As Caesar and the Baron/ess tour, the Nocker gets to Work.

Willie might note the smell of fire! Or she might not care.
