It's Christmas Time in Carthage!
The small town has been transformed with Yuletide cheer! Every tree along main street is strung with twinkling lights, each storefront festooned with red and green decor.
The main plaza is set up with shops and stalls, local stores as well as small vendors, all setting out wares for last minute Christmas shoppers. There's a feeling of hope and joy in the air, a delicious taste of Christmas Cheer that can be felt by every small child, every un-shuttered heart, and every fae.
The centerpiece of town square is a massive Tree! Folks are welcome to purchase an ornament, (proceeds going to local charity), make a Christmas wish, and then the ornaments are placed upon the tree - more and more colorful and festive with every wish and good deed. Joe, Amy and Nick are hard at work, though it doesn't feel like work at all, hanging ornaments and stringing lights!
Peppermint and chocolate, hot mulled wine with spices, roasting chestnuts - it smells as amazing as it looks. Briar has disappeared towards the food tents already. Hopefully something is left for the rest of the shoppers.
Gwen has time free for shopping - she's not due to meet up with Chuck until later.
Trina has Frankie in tow - why go to the mall, when she can shop local?! Both of them have cash (securely held by Trina) from Dad for Christmas shopping, and he and Janice have left them there together for some secret shopping time. "Can we see Santa?" Frankie begs!
Several of the stalls have Kithain vendors. It's not a huge market, but some have traveled in to set up shop.
Town Hall has closed for the day, and Mister Aberdeen carefully fastens the shutters and curtains to keep out the lights. No cheer here, thank you. However, a smaller shadowed figure may haunt the alleys behind the shops as Lizbet lurks about.
