He wanders over to the garden, a good distance, and looks about. He breaks out some shiney tinsel and waits a bit

But the nevers don't seem to be there. Aftter five minutes, he returns "Okay. Now you go to the gaden where I was. Just work on your sketch. I'll be there in five or seven minutes. "

"Sure!" She heads off.

And he sits and waits. To see if the nevers stay with him, or... well... too soon to be sure

At least one or two simply directly start following Thistle.

"Mmm"

He waits. Hasnn' even been a full minute and two trail along already. Let's see what happens after five

One little mauve Never is investigating his mask. Chime!

"Thanks. " it's a furking compliment, what else could that chime be? He watches as the others seem to flow, like drawn by a changing tide, towards the garden. "I got a theory, Piplitte"

Naming the mauve onne that as it seems she must look

"Yeah... I think the constant is Thistle. You guys like her, don't cha?"

A smile, "Yeah. I take that as a yes. Let's go see." He rises , counts how many Nevers left him, then walks to the garden

Not just Nevers, actually - other, shyer creatures are also about.

Thistle is back at her trash can, hacking.

A small bullfrog that has blue and purple spots on his back thrums near one of her feet. gronk-gronk. Gronk-gronk.

It eyes the nevers, but they are nearly half again his size... he must wait and grow before he could possibly eat such prey. For now, He is happy in the garden by Thistle.

it is past time for bullfrogs to hibernate in nice, cool mud, but Thistle brought him out of his den...

And Thistle daydreams of a round-bellied teapot, with vibrant spots.

A moth with wings that look rather like snowflakes flutters further up in the air... alighting for a moment on Thistle's head, but so light it is that she cannot even feel it before it flitters away again.

Perhaps other creatures might be drawn to such a fledge... were she not safely in the Baroness's own garden.

He moves towards Thistle, who is possibly older tthan he is .. by mortal years, but seems a lot more naive .

"I have a theory on why there are so many around you"

He starts to take a seat but changes his mind, it would appear a chimerical hedgehog wiht little olives on it's quills is walking around

"Yeah? You think it's a lot? I mean, Gwen said chimera can pop up lots of places..." Well, fledge - would she know it wasn't normal?

"Look, Science isn't an exact science. Mortals are only NOW finally catching on to he power of hopes or fears to skew results so it's too soon to say for sure, but I think chimera are drawn to you. That can be good, or bad, depennding on what sort, but tthey're definitely comfortable around you"

The spotted bullfrog is now nestled between her feet.

"I do half-think the Nevers think I'm sort of a... bigger Never? It's the hair."

"Well we donn't know what the constant is for sure. Even if it's you, it could be the hair, could be some pefume you wear, could be your fae soul.. too soon to tell, but you also got guys like that" he points the bullfrog

A long, sticky tongue snaps out at Wudlig's finger! GRONK-GRONK.

Apparently, a bit possessive.

...for someone the size of a dinner roll.

A laugh.

"Hey there." She scoops up the frog. "Be nice."

He puddles down happily into her hands. grrrr-grrrrnk.

The spots on his back gently fading in and out, like flickering xmas lights.

She gently pets the top of his head. "There's a good froggo."

"Well, congrats.. when it comes o Chimera, you're furkin snow white." Intrigued

"Oh, for furk's sake..."

"gotta be careful, not all Chimera are nice. "

"Some get a bit annoying, but they mostly seem okay."

"I had one mess with Gertrude..."

"Gertrude?"

"My scooter. I fixed her up from the junkyard."

"Oh sweet.." A nod "Got my own ride too."

"Yeah? I'll show you mine..."

"Let's see her" He says gathering their notes on a 'Never decoy set up'

"She's parked up front, c'mon." The frog is gently set under a brown-edged leaf. Winter is here.
