Nadeen observes, she is no boggan but there are patterns to be read here

Her spirals shift pink, briefly, and there's a flash of a smile. "Okay, so... I had some old kinex sets..."

Art shows Thistle the notes he made. "See, this paper and ink are chimerical... so I can write about what we need to learn, and no mortals can spy on it."

"Well, that's cool!"

"Lady Nadeen gave me the information. If I neaten it up, we could bind THIS into a book, a primer for fledges..."

"Sounds lovely" Nadeen says "As point of fact, I do have a source for chimerical ink and paper ,would each of you like a personal journal?"

"I... don't want a journal, thanks."

"All right" She nods

Even as she opens up a notebook with messy sketches of a book-binding machine!

Art nods! "Very much so. I cannot write anything at home..." He pauses, and looks to Thistle. "But what about your ideas? You were just saying the other day that you got good ideas at the worst times... maybe it could be water proof, or invisible, or... look like you're doing math?" A grin.

Mumble-shrug.

"I want to see all of your ideas." He pouts a bit. "How can I do that if you don't have them safely in a book or something?" He looks to Nadeen. "Chicanery... you said it was for fooling minds? COULD a book show, like, homework if a teacher looked at it? ...or a family member?" A touch sour at that.

"Cantrips can fade, but yes, with the right mix of art and realm, it's possible," She looks to Thistle "Thistle, have you been told about Cantrips, the types of arts? Nockers are rumored to have one of their own.. I forget it's name, but a glassworker I know uses it to make his glass strong as steel"

"It's ours, yeah."

"To make things. I don't.. know it... but.."

A smile. She decides not to mention Dougal sidhe or some rare boggans, the girl might need a bit of kith pride, "But? "

"C'mon, Trina. Don't you want to show us what you can do? Like, this bookbinder." Encouraging.

Pink again! "Well.. this.. I mean, I can bodge it together and see if it works. I have supplies for manual repairs, too..."

"Go for it, " The baroness smiles "We learn by trying"

"You can't really break most of these books worse..."

"Also true."

Thistle fiddles with her things, putting together a somewhat rickety-looking device.

Art offers a book - a tax volume from 1998, it seems. "Here, try it on this one..." The cover is detached and pages loose.

It DOES work, but Thistle fusses.

"What's wrong?"

"It's not good."

"It's a lot better than it was" Nadeen observes

“But.. it worked?” Art looks confused, and examines the book.

"But it's not good." She scowls at it. "It's ugly."

Nadeen raises a brow "I'm missing something. HOw is it ugly?"

"It.." She gestures!

"It's... it's a prototype." Trying to reconcile.

Nadeen moves to Thistle What would Kerri do? Feed her until she busts?

"Well, it's a big help, and I thank you" SHe says honestly "You and Arthur get to work"

"Yeah. I'll mess with it later. It... it works." She might not be sold on it being good, but she's trying not to linger on it.

"Would you two prefer I leave you alone to work? I've noticed sometimes i Make peoplle nervous"

Thistle shrugs. "I'm okay."

"Good to hear it" She nods "I was asking Arthur about his family. How is yours doing?"

"Not too different. Haven't told Mom."

A nod "Obviously you can't, not the truth anyway, which can be lonely I know"

Thistle works, with a few Nevers attending and "helping."

"Well, Art's with me - we're both new. And there's a sub at school who's, whatsit, an eshu?"

"Yes, Gwen told me about him. She said he was rude and dismissive to Arthur."

"Would you agree?"

"I dunno. Maybe?"
