Aiden seeks Nadeen's hand, watching his Fledge.

Ser Feenagh takes the girl and looks up into her eyes "You are Gwen Locklear, but this is like saying the world is just the land. It leaves out the Oceans deep and mysterious, all it's secrets unexplored. It is like leaving out the sky, with racing winds and clouds both pale and stormy. "

Gwen closes her eyes. She's not sure why she is

Chuck watches, not really understanding, but... hell, he'll cheerlead for her.

"That's good," The Namer's voice encourages "Take your mind to the East, dreams of Spring... beginnings then to the South, the Summer bridge, powerful, but challenging.... then the Autumn to the west, it seems endings are ahead but there is beauty there too... and you will be surprised by the harvest. THen... North, it is not cold, this Winter, it is still, glorious, annd waiting. It is a shield for when things are fragile. A haven for the sleeping."

She does, a breath

"Now... look in between them all, search deep, and find the center" He touches her shoulderr "Now breath in, then brreath out... and breath in... and KNOW"

A woosh of glamour... as she does, the bunk working, annd he leans up and whispers VERY Low in her ear...

and She gasps as she is sained. Shadows and light alike play over her, and her garb goes from Gray to Green...

the trim turns metalic...in the light, for a moment, it seems golden

Brows lift a touch.

Aiden freezes for a moment, a grimace... but he straightens up, and squeezes the hand he holds. He watches, without judgement.

And then the metals turn... not golden, but Silver

Brows UP.

Brows DOWN.

Chuck, at the murmurs and gasps, to Marigold. "Is that good?? What's going on?"

"Shhh, it will all be fine." She pats his arm. Then pats it again. Hm! Muscles! Good for you, Gwen. The Grump Boggan thinks.

Then lightning seems to race along the spear that she always has nearby!

annd some of the sparks form into spurs .. knightly marks!

As weilding the voile of House Daireann and the marks of the knight... Gwen stares at Marigold and about the hold "Lord Conall... I.."

Briar hoots, "YEAH! Gwen! TASE' EM!"

"A TREE!" Dru cheers!

Briar's yell seems to snap her outt of it and she... she bows

"What name are you to be called, you who are fledge no more?" Ser Feenagh asks her

Marigold looks at her, puzzled. There is something so familiar.

"In honor of the Gardens, past and present, those of flower and steel, I wish my fae use name to be Gladiolus" Gwen says

"I give you, Dame Gladious ap Daireann" The Namer says

"That's dumb." Briar says, but quietly. Marigold gives her a LOOK that is all caps and BOLD and even the Redcap backs down.

"Dame?" Gwenn/Gladious blinks but folks are already clapping

Chuck looks around, and starts clapping. Marigold picks it up, and cheers. "That's my Gw - that's MY GIRL!"

Dagmar cheers!

Lavender WHOOPS loudly

Briar, nudged, finally cheers along. Hey, a knight on HER side, why not?

Aiden claps enthusiastically, once he retrieves his hand from Nadeen. Perhaps with a touch of relief!

Nadeen applauds, and says quietly to her lover "You were worried there. I could tell"

A BIT Amused

He whispers back, "She would have still been our Gwen. But... I am glad, none the less."

Rippling through the garden, scarcely more than a breeze, touched with glamour. Lots of glamour in the air today. Oaths and Namings, Enchantments and Awakened Treasures, powerful stuff.

Gwen holds up her hands "Folks, this is my party, so to speak, and they told me we cann spend it how we like... so... with the Baron and Baroness permission, let's make things informal. There's wonderful food, and such wonnderful company. Thank you all for coming, please enjoy both"

NOW Briar WHOOPS!

She sounds more confident, not rude, but surer of herself

Chuck looks up, as something draws his attention away from Gwen, even as she's at her moment of triumph and remembrance, confidence and joy.

His brow furrows a bit, listening to something just... out of earshot. A hum, something quiet, but compelling.

Dru plucks some leaves from her hair and cups them in her hands... the multiply, and grow into a wreath. "Best wishes on your special day! A flower and a tree!" Not a wreath - it's a crown of oaken leaves, which she sets on Gwen's hair.

And THEN Gwen gets a kiss on each cheek!

Aiden approaches and quietly thanks the namer. "Perhaps you were a little amused there." He says, dryly. "Or a trick of the light, was it?"

Gwen blushes

Gwen is quickly getting surrounded by well wishers! It is her day, after all.

"Thank you all" Gladiolus /Gwen says "And Gwen is also ok if folks prefer it"

One person not looking her way, though. Chuck is listening to something only he can hear. Something magical and wonderful, and terrible and beautiful, and he cannot help but attend. Standing, he steps slowly past the seats of the others...

"OI, Down in front, Mudblood!" Briar snaps, but he doesn't even notice her at the moment. Briar HUFFs at being ignored.
