The carriage drops the sidhe off, a grump to be sure...but hardly decript

The dogs bark as he approaches.

"Quiet down" Gwen says calmly, and not seeing another thane approaches the sidhe and bows "Welcome to Silverwolf, I'm Gwen. " Before she can ask how she can help, the sidhe interupts with a smile

"For now, yes" He nods

"How can I.. uhm?" She blinks "Pardon?"

"You are Gwen, for now" The sidhe taps his monocle the same way some tap their noggins as if they showing how they're thinking "Ah but where are my manners? Ser Feenagh... is the Baron or Baroness about?"

"I shall check, on what business should I tell them you've come?" She asks

"Rest and haven long enough for me to get the job done" Feenagh smiles

"And.. the job?" Gwen coughs. THis guy seems kind of spacy

"Oh, yes, to take you from Gwen, to Gwen and More. " A beat and then in a stage whisper "i'm your namer."

"I'll.go.get.one.of.them.right.away" Gwen says her eyes widening

And off she races

The namer looks at the dogs again that eye him, and lets them sniff his robes, "yes yes, you were only doing your jobs.. bark bark and all.. thank you for not eating me. Never live that down. The power of naming... but died like a chewtoy. Tsk... Good doggies"

Elsewhere, Aiden has been speaking with Nadeen. The subject? Their two Thanes.

"I would understand if you wished to release Danica from service to Silverwolf. She did, after all, attempt harm towards you." A small flash in his expression shows that she is perhaps not quite forgiven for that. "Though I would keep her, with appropriate oaths, if you think it wise."

"As for Linnea, she suffers the stigma of an Oathbreaker. It seems to be going... hard on her. Do you believe that taking on a new oath would be sufficient to overcome this for her? Or have you a quest, or other duty to set her to in mind?"

"Well, my thoughts as I said was that Dancia would be sworn to you, and Linnea for me. I frankly do NOT see LInnea needing to take a quest, I thought the Oath would suffice, but .. trolls are tricky things. I think a quest might do HER some good in both ehr own eyes and the eyes of her peers. "

He nods agreement. "Once Gwen's saining is complete, we will ask the Thanes to swear, and we can seek an appropriate quest for your Linnea." Already assigning - not quite ownership, no, but responsibility, the proper onus owed to a vassal, linking Nadeen and her thane.

"Yes, I can't be selfish about this ,if Linnea needs this, she needs this and I can't tell her it's 'silly' ... trolls will sulk for days if you point out they're being silly" as one who knows

"I wonder if a quest together would help heal the rift between the twins." He considers. "Though - I would not wish to be without both of their service for however long that may take them away from us."

"We could ask Darkgate to loan us two soldiers? It's a gamble but.. I suspect Chief Hewitt wants it to succeed."

He considers. "That would suffice, should they be willing."

He sighs, and Nadeen can see some worry in his expression.

"What is it, love, we have options" She assures

"It is Gwen." Aiden says softly to his Baroness. "It has been a long time since we have had any fledge here at Silverwolf. I have grown... more than passing fond of her. I worry that her Destiny revealed may lead her away from us."

"There was a time when I would have tried to bend fate in my favor... but no longer." Shaking his head.

A tilt of her head, then "You're wise not to. Trust in your self and in her. You have won her over as a lord and mentor. Why, she loves the dogs as much as you... and yet treats them firmly with that love. I think she will stay for how she respects you, and how she adores Marigold, and looks out for Briar... and yes, loves the dogs. She's a sentimental girl in her way"

"And yet, who knows if she may recall allegiance elsewhere. A rival house, a rival lord, or just duty that draws her away. Such is life. But you are right. We have done what we can... it is all we can do. The namer shall arrive soon."

"Indeed, " She looks at him, "Have you told Gwen you are happy she joined on? That she has done SIlverwolf proud?"

A bit of a blank look, and then, worried/sheepish/contrite. "Ah. Surely she knows..."

An eye roll, "I love you as much as any varich can, but you are such a man some days" then a kiss on the cheek "There is no shame in letting her know you are pleased with her work here, and the good she has brought here and she will be delighted.. by troll standards. Maybe her lower jaw will shift slightly.. that's a smile when they're trying to be stoic"

He chuckles softly. "You are right, my love. Now, is all in place for the Saining? I am now considering holding the Thanes vows on this same occasion, as well as that of Dame Lavender. All will be gathered, and I do not wish to leave them at loose ends for too long. Other placements for the Hold can be made as we deem fit, but if it would not detract too much - perhaps a preamble, or a lead up to Gwen's saining being the main event and position of honor? Often Namers might sain multiple fledges in one day, and it does not take the joy from any one."

Perhaps second guessing himself, or rethinking.

"The Namer should be here very soon .. he's a whismical fellow normally but doesn't make light of his duty... I think Gwen would be fine with sharing the spotlight if need be. Why don't we ask the namer when..."

"HE'SHERE!" A panicked voice "He'sherehere'shere... " Gwen's voice

Aiden stands, straightening his voile and adjusting the lay of his cloak, just so over one shoulder. One must make a good impression upon visiting nobles.

"Fledge Gwen, thank you for letting us know." He says calmly, moving to greet her at the door. Hopefully his relaxed demeanor, even if a front, will help carry over to her.

It does. Gwen settles, at least some, she bows "I ... pardon me, Namer Feenagh just arrived. He's near the kennels. I.. think he's making kissy faces to the dogs" Straight faced "He wants to ask for a few nights here as suits the ceremony." A blink "Should i.. go back and tell him anything or..."

"We'll take it from here, Gwen," The Baroness assures her, "Go on into the kitchen, tell Marigold. She'll want to know"

Orders from the Baroness AS Baroness are still new to Gwen, but she bows ,and says "By your leave, Baroness " And.. slips out

Nadeen looks at her lover and smiles "See how much calmer she got when you talked to her? She puts her faith in you"

"And ever mine in you, Nadeen." He says, reaching for her hand.

Pleased, he some how finds her hand VERY available and it twines with his lightly

He pulls her closer, and then, a small pout. A look that promises later, and he turns, hand in hand still with Nadeen, to find and welcome the Namer.

"Tell me of Ser Feenagh." He asks, as they walk.

"Whimsical and odd, but also most learned. House Eiluned.. which is one reason I picked him, as they are on good terms with your own house. He is bound to no lord.." She walks with him thinking how pleasant 'later' will be. "and I first met him at the Parliment of Dreams."

"Ah. Yes, Eiluned is our sister house, and most welcome. Without them, we could be nearly completely bereft of any insight, let alone say, in the Parliament."

A look at him, then "How long ahas it been since you've been to Parliment? " She inquires

A cough. "I am certain that we have received reports of the most pertinent information... Julius would know..."

'Let's just say that thanks to we returned houses.. Varich, Aesin, and Daireann... the Houseo f lords has more unseelie voice than ever and Ailil is not suffering as it used to." A smirk "Mind you, not all Ailil are thrilled to have contenders for the Winter House spot added too, but you dragons are adaptive"

A look of relief. "You will attend on behalf of Silverwolf?"

She preens a bit "When needed, yes, love. I did it for Rivervale before"

"And now you are mine. Ours. I often wonder if Rivervale has any idea what a treasure they had in you. It pleases my dragon heart to think that I have stolen you from them, even if in sooth, you brought yourself and fought for us to earn your place."
