"No one need go begging here." Aiden says to the boy. "We have room enough to spare. If you need anything, Marigold will see to it. Or Julius, if she is not around. Tomorrow, we will discuss the future, with you both. But tonight, rest safely."

"Yes, Elf King" the bow bows and takes the room Marigold suggested "Look Joe, there's enough space for both of us here"

"Do you need anything, Rochy, Blossom?" Marigold asks. "The bathroom is just down the corner, and there's a shower I think may suit you until we can expand. Else I would like to chat with the Baron for a time."

"I think Rochalar is already asleep" the girl says in amazement, for the boy has passed out. He maybe healed, but now with a full belly, his body has decided to shut down for maintaince. She goes back to her own room ad looks around "I'm Great, thank you, Marigold!"

Marigold says softly to Aiden, "She's been ogled enough for the day, m'lord." Perhaps one of few who can scold him thusly. Aiden has a rueful look, and nods. "Goodnight, Blossom." Stepping away with Marigold to discuss adult topics and tactics.

And two childrenn settle in , innocence dinged, but not gone

Back in the kitchen, Marigold pours tea for herself and the Baron... and Nadeen, if she'll join them.

Nadeen does. She looks almost radiant

Something in the hunting of the hunters clearly sung in her. Perhaps it was enacting a noble woman's wrath

"How goes it, Marigold? "

"I should be asking you, Baroness." The boggan smiles, pouring for Nadeen. "But it seems all went swimmingly."

Aiden moves to sit next to Nadeen. "You are certain that you are well? We can call in a more experienced healer - you need only say the word." Concern written on his face still, despite her earlier reassurances.

"In truth? I'm in a glorious mood," Nadeen assures them, "We went beyond right of rescue, we drove home a message that violations of demense would not be tolerated. Both Dark Gate and Rivervale have seen Silverwolf's power, and more than that, neither can deny our moral rightness i the use of it for this event. While two young childlings may seem a dubious prize, one is of a kith returned from the dreaming, a wonder who will surely inspire others, the other seems a fine young fellow who tried to do the right thing. While the bulk of the prizes were taken the other prong of the attack with Leech himself, Calanthe gained a hawk that will be better in her hands. " A smug look "And there are the few treasures we have from the hunter's lodge"

He reaches over to take Nadeen's hand, squeezing it. Marigold tries not to beam too noticeably at that.

"I think saving a centaur and a childling - no, two childlings." He corrects himself, "Is worthier than many a treasure. And Calanthe certainly looked the cat that caught the canary."

"What other treasure would that be?" Curiosity definitely raised there.

She returns the squeeze, gazing into his eyes, "I may have.. controbanded a few from the hunters. I considered it recompense and I did not think they'd do anyone any good in some Dark Gate sttoragge room. I may have neglected to mention it to Sylvi."

"Should I get them?"

His eyes gleam with pleasure at her clever thinking. "Please."

"Good," A blush at something Now if only I knew what some of them DID! she rises and gets them

When Nadeen returns pulls forth a satchel of black and opens it for him to see. Within, a pair of two six sided dice, a wooden goblet and an old sterling silver lighter

"They havee glamour" She says, then coughs "I only figured out the dice though"

"Marvelous! Tell me what the Dice do..." Meanwhile, he looks over the other two.

"Simple minor magic.. they rig the rolls. Best used on mortals. They seem to have a mix of fuddle and gimmix... consider it a form of loaded dice that aren't loaded by mortal methods. As far as I can tell the magic that lands them on whatever nnumbers you visualize works but three times a day, but on the right moment, that can be enough to win quite the pot"

"Useful, if funds are every needed, or if we need odds in our favor. May also be a good part of a bunk" He ponders.

He picks up the lighter, carefully turning it over in his hands. "The last one like this that I've seen was a trod key."

"I don't think it's that powerful. I fear they maybe weaker I hoped, I tried turning it on, but it didn't seem to have an effect"

"Likely not... simply brainstorming." He ponders the cup. "Among those unsavory sort, I'd hesitate to test that one directly. It could as easily be a cup that neutralizes poison as one that is intended to poison."

"Truth" She admits "I'll try some magic on it again later"

"I wonder if Calanthe would have any insight." He examines the silver lighter, checking for any design or hints.

A vaguely feminine shape

He flicks it on curiously, cupping his hand around the flame end.

And he looks up and sees shadows, Nadeen's shadow to be exact, Nadeenn herself doesn' seem to notice, but her silhouete seems to be less diffuse, and it.. moves of it's own accord. Rather than sinister, there is something sensaul about it.

the shadow begins by running fingers and hands over its own contours, then starts to sway, as if enjoying even it's own touch

Intrigued, he watches this for long enough that Nadeen may wonder what he gazes at, just beyond her.

She cocks her head "is it working?"

The shadow is dancing for him, enticingly...

His cheeks turn a bit flushed and he snaps it closed, looking back up - where DID Marigold get off to? Crazy how quietly she can move for a lady of size.

The shadow is back where it should be. And yes just as well he NOT lookat Marigold with that

Rather, the boggan has vanished, leaving the two alone together.

It's not that she's bad to look at, she's rather pleasant in a matronly way, but she's like family.

"Aiiideen?" A brow, questioning "What did it do?"

He clears his throat. "Ah. Well. It seemed to. Ahem." The tips of his ears are pink now, too.

"Your shadow was... beckoning. Dancing, for me." Oh, now he's definitely red. Good thing that black and silver go with practically any color.

She blushes too, at least her ears "I..see. Did it..dance well?"

He swallows. "It was not the way I have seen you dance. It seemed more focused on... enticing." The way he looks at her now, makes her wonder if he wouldn't like to see her dance that way.

"I see" A blush "So the ligherr's power is to... have my shadow act brazenly?"

He sets it on the table. "I apologize." Eyes still on Nadeen. "It was a mere shadow of the real Nadeen... pun not intended. And could never match the original."

"Don't apologize that is. Truth, I'd be equally offended if you werenn't enticed. this is a no win situation for you my lord" A chuckle escapes her

"I am not sorry that I saw what I did... but that it felt like voyuerism, without you knowing. It was... very pleasant to look upon, but I would expect no less than the source."

"I assure you, the real thing will be better still"

Her eyes smoulder, and she takes the lighter "May I? In the interest of fair play?"
