Kilroy GRINS at Lavender. "You smell nice. You wanna show me how to dance real good? I maybe ate enough, and that show wasn't as good as I was 'specting."

Lavender says "SUre... Pardon me, Bill..." She moves to the guy "Cha Cha cha cha cha.." She drags him near the door

Gwen flushes it out gently "it's all good"

Dru has decided the redcaps are unpleasant, but music is good, and so are flowers! She can ignore the hubub.

Bluebell joins Billy, speaking to him quietly. "Why I NEVER! My boy, what about my boy? Haw! Innocent!"

The Carnival Queen... has had enough! "What IS going ON? I thought we were dancing! I -Liked- The dancing!" A high-heeled foot gives a delicate stomp!

"More dancing!"

"I do not LIKE the arguing." Queen Alice says, with a hiccup. And allows the Kubera to draw her back into a dance. Bluebell lights up, and opens a door... a door that hadn't been there before! "A new ball room! Fresh and Clean, and set up just to please the Queen!"

the Queen of hearts shoots a look at Bluebell with gratitude, then curtseys "This way, your majesty!"

"A whole ROOM for dancing!?"

Kilroy takes the attention as a green light, reaches over to run a meaty hand through Lavender's hair, his fingers rough. "You ever gore anyone with dem horns?"

Lavender nods and leads him to the door's edge "Oh baby, let me show you what I can do.." And if she can takes him out the lodgge

Oh, he FOLLOWS.

KITCHEN
Briar is rubbing at her eyes, still streaming, and blinking, she can now see blearily. "I'm NOT CRYING." She says to Gwen heatedly.

A big SNIFF.

"That's the water from the sink" Gwen says

"Pain don't HURT if you're a badass. And who gives a fuck what that guy says? FUCK that guy." Briar swipes at her face with a cool wet towel.

Marigold is softly talking to Shawn on the far side of the room. The boy shakes his head rapidly, arms gesticulating as he explains to the boggan... who nods, but looks baffled.

Queen Alice has Dru's arm around her waist, and she doesn't look the least bothered by it. "I never thought I'd learn a flower waltz from a real flower lady...."

Outisde... The knave moves his eye patch "Le me slip out of this costume ... "And folds and folds of obesity, hairy obesity at that, start to appear and the voice deepens "At last we can be ourselves"

Kilroy blinks, squints, and rather dully asks, "Where'd the dame go?" Something about his tone seems to indicate he means it in the sense of "Broad" or "Chicky" and not "Lady Knight".

"Magical days, my Queen." Dru assures, leading her in fluid spirals with the music.

"She's waiting for you at the gas station Mile that way" 'Lavendude' says

"I wish I had a friend like you, Dru..." Queen Alice says wistfully. "I feel... lonesome. But I shouldn't be? I have my family." She looks at her hand, and marvels at the spot where her wedding ring sits. "Oh, it wasn't always this way, I tell myself?" Memories trickling back through her drunken wondering.

"He was just a boy, no worse than any other boys. And boys will be boys. It's the economy... the virus... they say. Nothing is every anyone's fault." Slowly dancing with Dru. "How did things end up like this?"

"Winters can be hard, but spring returns. Do you feel the earth warming beneath you?"

Gwen says "You okay now? Briar? "

Kilroy snorts, and leans in, sniffing once more at the man. "You know what I think? I think you took my girl, Buddy. I can SMELL her on you" And he pulls back an arm. He grins hugely. "And a fight is almost as good as a fuck, and I can go find the fuck after and I get 'em BOTH." He starts to swing...

Only to have himself suddenly hoisted into the air. Both arms gripped firmly, and PULLED outward - in a crucified pose, he has no leverage to swing... he cannot reach to bite either of the two Thanes on either side, one holding each arm.

"WHAT'S THIS THEN?"

"Someone forgot the 'do no harm' rule" Lavender says

"I was waiting for this one to make a wrong move. Dame, you did well to bring him out where he couldn't cause collateral Damage." Danica snorts.

Linnea has a stormcloud look on her face. "What should we do with him? Drag him before the Carnival Queen? Or would that ruin her dancing? She said 'no fighting' and here, he not only tried to harm, but broke the Royal Decree."

-Kitchen-
Briar glares at Gwen. "He put FIRE SAUCE in my EYES."

Shaun bleats back in defence, "She's a wolf! A wo-oo-oo-lf!" A bleating tone in his voice!

"Well, to be fair, he didn't hit me.or harm me YET" Lavender says "How about we just shoo him downn he road"

-Ballroom-
Aiden speaks up, waving his wolf-head scepter comically to the Queen. "Even though who reign in Winter, celebrate the return of spring. All things are a cycle, we fae know that." And yet, his expression is a little forlorn, bemused, as though the words he says, so common and so well known to even the youngest fledge, are a bit hollow in his own mouth.

Kitchen- Gwen looks a Shawwn "Even Wolves are protected on Carnival."

"All things are a cycle!" She agrees with the jester. "The acorn does not know what it is to be a tree, but it dreams."

-Outside-
Linnea and Danica exchange glances, and nod to each other. "One?"
"Two!"
"THREE!"

The two of them swing the large man - once, twice, three times, and then release - troll strength is FUN sometimes, and he goes flying to crash in an ungainly heap upon his own motorcycle parked out front.

"OW! WHADDA HELL"

Danica calls over, "We didn't do anything to you, you were well when you left us. If you're hurt, claim grievance on the ground."

Lavender smirks "I do like how Ailil holds do things"

"I'm... I'm... I'm gonna go find that hot pan chicky down at the gas station." Kilroy snarls, and kicks his dented motorcycle into gear. Soon, heading down the drive.

Danica ponders, looking at Lavender. "I could pull him over now for drunk driving. Or just let him get there and realize he's been had again."

"My pretty queen, I hope you dream of spring." She brushes at Alice's hair and then caresses her cheek. A soft tingle at the contact, as if the mortal takes in some of the Kubera's abundant glow.

The Queen of hearts looks wistful "Yes, Change is good, when it's allowed" A look at the Baron/Jester "And Passion , even not our favorite passions, should come before duty atimes so we can do those duties well"

Queen Alice was looking sad, but she listens.. and straightens up a the touch from the Kubera. "That's... the acorn dreaming. That's a beautiful thought. Do you think that an acorn can still grow, if it forgets to for so many years?"

Bluebell leans over and whispers in to Nadeen's ear, "The music I hear is 'I Dreamed A Dream', and 'Memories'... can we find a happier song?"

Lavender says "Ah, le him go. Caps gotta cap"

Danica nods. "I'll have a patrol on the lookout in case he heads further out to cause trouble. Excessive trouble." She allows, and steps aside to mutter into her walkie talkie.

Linnea is looking off in another direction. "The dancing was nice, though." She remarks. Moonlight shining on the single Heart on her Ace Guard tabard.

"I'd dance with you, tall and lovely." Black Jack comments from the doorway. "That was a sexy bum's rush you gave him, and don't get me wrong, the Cap is useful, but he IS a bum."

"Oh, I know it can. Sometimes, the sun doesn't always reach it... " Dancing slowly, soft curves pressed against Alice. "But when it does? It may stir, and strive, and reach up and up with tender shoots..."

-Kitchen-

Shawn looks guilty. "Mother keeps pepper spray in her purse in case of wolves. And that's a wolf with EXTRA teeth."

Briar growls back, "I wasn't going to KILL you. I COULD!" He flinches, and this makes Briar perk up a bit.

" I just wanted to show..." She claps her mouth shut and glowers. "I just wanted to EAT HIM okay? I would! Even on Carnival! Because I'm a BADASS."

"I murder pooka for breakfast!" She says, extra loud in case anyone is listening.

Nadeen blushes "You're right, of course" To Bluebell

Suddenly, a blast of music in the ballroom.

Julius has a bit of a grin. Where did he get a karaoke mic?

Gwen looks at Briar with .... disappointment

Lavender enters into see the Karoke mic "HELLO"

Julius pushes a button, and the single note sounds again. And he leans back, singing, "Ahhh! Oh yeah!"

He tosses the mic over to Lavender when she comes in.

"For Her Majesty's entertainment! D'Lavender Ross!"

And the stereo starts playing... not so loud that conversation cannot be had, but enough to give the room a great beat that thrums through and makes feet want to tap!
