Aiden nods, and then picks up his papers again. Before she steps out, he adds, eyes already on the paperwork, "The Baroness seemed content to close this chapter. I doubt that she would welcome a reopening. However, it is your choice." Page turns, clearly dismissed.

And she bows, and withdraws.

Gwen lingers, clearly wanting to ask something

He looks up after a moment, and gestures her to come closer. "Did I put you on the spot there?"

A thought "Actually, Lord. I thought it was interesting, a bit spooky, but also very.. flattering? I'm not sure why you did it but I didn't feel like it was abusive or anything. I'm learning. i'm going to get pop quizes now and then. It was more the... no matter what she chooses, you win, don't you?"

He smiles, nodding. "Perceptive. You were on the money with your suggestions, were there not other potential complainants here. But offering a choice - or the perception thereof, turns it back on her - and I am no longer the punisher to hold a grudge against, but the arbiter that offered options."

Gwen says "And if she picks one of the others and they make use of her, they are, indirectly, indebted to you, as might she be. " She looks.. impressed, "And you didn't do anything dishonorable or the like you just.. presented it like you said. Wow. I will NEVER be that smart"

He raises a brow. "You suggested several very valid options when questioned on the fly. Well done."

"Oh, thanks. I just.. don't tell Briar I worded it this way, but it just seemed to me that if a redcap won't allow a restraint, it's best to uhm defang them in some ways" She says "Figuratively, obviously. I .. well... thank you . "As she realizes that was praise for HER smarts. "I think I know which House is the most dangerous, Baron. And I mean it as a compliment" She looks at the dragon insigna "I best go to dinner. Would you like food brought to you or will you be dining with us?"

"I think I will let her stew a bit. Please keep eye on her and let me know if she shares any thoughts?"

"Yes, my lord. I'll also ask Marigold what she picks up and relay that to you as well. Boggans notice the smallest things" She bows low, and slips out. A bit in awe. Twice her lord has shown why sidhe might DESERVE to rule. Be it Imperious majesty, or Political cunning. And, what surprises her? She's okay with that, as long as they have that same generous nature to go with it as her own baron.
