When Willy next heads to 'her' workshop/workshed, she finds a bit of a kerfuffle. A truck is parked out front, and a rather dazed looking man is unloading boxes, while a sidhe lady that the Nocker has only seen in passing is standing by, tapping a foot impatiently. Even disheveled, she is gorgeous, with long flowing dark hair and alabaster skin, her perfect features only marred by the sour expression.

A redcap, and NOT Briar, spars against Dame DeLorean nearby. Practice weapons. D'Lorean is the better jouster, but is losing to the Cap.

Willy marches up to the workshop and the lady there. "I'm Willy. Supposed ta work here. What's.... alla this?" She grumbles, not making eye contact.

The sidhe turns from where she was watching the sparring, and looks Willy over. Clearly, her gaze is found wanting. "I am Dame Calanthe Falkoner, Chancellor of Silverwolf." Her voice a bit cold, annoyed at the informality of the 'greeting'. "So you're the one that caused all this trouble. You had best prove your worth."

D'Lorean looks to the side as she sees how Willy is doing with Calanthe

Only to get her helm spun around by the redcap's practice weapon

Dame Kandi snorts "If you ignore your date you get what you get. Gotit?"

Lavender screws her helmet back into place "Fine fne.."

"Just doing what I got told, Chancellor."

Calanthe looks slightly mollified by the title, and nods. "I haven't the slightest inclination where these things should go."

Unspoken but evident - 'And I certainly don't care. '

"I trust you can see this taken care of."

The knights spar again, At least unnless they are approached

"I don't even know what they are." Unspoken but evident - 'And I damn well should.

"Then I advise that you figure it out." She turns and walks away, and snaps to the mortal, "Leave that. My bags." He immediately drops the box he was pulling off the pickup with a CLANK, retrieves a suitcase instead, and trails after the Chancellor.

"Furk!" Willy goes to check it "That coulda been fragile!!" Against all evidence.

The sparring ends, and now that the sidhe is out of earshot "Who the hell was that?" Kandi asks "And who's the nocker?"

There are boxes upon boxes. Numerous and small, labeled as heavy and labeled as from a farrier supplier in Montana.

Should she open one or more, a fair treasure trove of tools awaits. Shoe pullers and hoof picks, nail pullers and hoof testers, nippers, cutters, knives and rasps.

Anvil and tongs, straight, rounding, driving AND cross pein hammers, pritchel and nail cutter, clinch blocks, clinchers and clinch cutters. Hoof stand with adjustabl height to service ponies to Fresians, and a variety of hoof gauges besides.

"Dame Calanthe, Chancelior, second in command" D'Lorean says, a slight nose wrinkle "Oh, and that's Willy. She's going to handle shoe horses and straps and things. You were in her Shed"

Dame Chompwhomp says "Oh. That explains why it smelled like leather and rust"

Julius comes trotting over. "Dames, Willy. I saw that the Chancellor had returned and picked up that she may have... delegated. And Marigold handed me this on the way out, some lunch." He has a covered basket that looks like it could serve a Superbowl party lugged at one side.

Willy stares agog.

To Willy, he offers a few pages of paper. "I have the order manifest here. I don't mind reviewing it, but it may be quicker and more accurate if you do. I don't have the slightest idea what a... 'standard buffer' might be?"

"Hey, thanks, Steward" Dame Chompwhomp says a the basket and takes it "Humph, should make a good snack"

"This thing." She pulls one out of a box, waves it at Julius.

The satyr shakes his head bemusedly. "To me it looks like 'tool, tool, tool' and mostly out of some BSDM den or torture chamber."

A smirk. "Figures."

Inside the lunch... crate... they find sodas, chips, cookies and sandwiches - hero style, stacked high with meat and cheese, lettuce and tomato, onions and peppers. Hearty fare!

Julius chuckles. "I'd like to see you work your way through the W9 form requirements for payroll I have to manage monthly. What about this, though? Do we need to get some of the trolls over to haul that off the back?" Pointing to the large mass that is not boxed, but rather tarped over and strapped down securely in the bed of the truck.

It's bigger than Willy herself...

"Shot. I could maybe build something to move it but figure you want the truck back sooner?"

"We have the muscle, why make you do more work?" Hopping easily up into the truckbed, he loosens the tarp and pulls it away. "Does this look like it will work, before we start hauling?"

Up on the bed is the star of the show... a forge! Or rather FORGES, as there is not one, but two. A small portable model that can hook into gas lines or propane for fixes on the go, but the bigger bulk is a standing model that runs on coal - which as Willy well knows, takes longer to heat up to a working temperature, but can reach higher temps, accommodate larger pieces, and is more reliable for controlling precise heat and easier to position metal as it's not enclosed.

Big, and shiny, and pretty, just aching to be stained black by coal and coke or even wood.

"Yeeeaaahhhh...." a soft sigh.

"Hey, looks good" Lavender says, sparring over, she's taking a peek

"How would you know???"

"The important thing is, is this what you need to do the work we need, and the work you want to do?" Julius smoothly interjects.

"Because I know what i like about how something looks. " She says or starts to when the other satyr interjects "Right"

Dame Kandi scarfs some food down

He easily vaults back out of the truck bed, and taps his chin as he looks over the workshop. "We can expand this... plenty of open space. If the weather was better year round, might get away with just an awning, but... " He trots off, quickly returning after doing a lap of the building. "I've seen some layouts with a stable-sized entryway to bring a horse to the forge rather than the other way around... we could expand onto the carport for now, then repave...." He stops and looks to Willy.

"That is, if I draw up some plans, can you tell me what works and what won't?"

"Yeah, I guess I could do that. If you need me to."

Kandi approaches Julius, but waits her turn

He turns and gives a polite nod to the redcap. "Dame Chompwhomp."

"Begging your pardon, Steward. "She says and clears a nostril "I was given something of a time limit on a choice. Do you know if the Baron is available? "

"M'Lord's over at the stables. He has an office in there, you'll find him there more often than not." An amused thought. "Give me a head's up if we need to round the hounds to chase you from the grounds, Briar will be sad to miss that."

Dame Kandi sighs "At court, everyone's a jester when the protocals are off. Yeah yeah, wouldn't want the little calf biter to miss her fun" She walks off

"Whompchomp, are you kidding me??"

"Chompwhomp." He corrects. "Miss Willy Horse-Groom-Woman."

Lavender snerks "Hey, folks wish I'd pick a channel when it comes to MY name. "

"I've gotten my fair share. Parents went with Julius and Cassius for me and my little brother - Picture years of elementary being called 'Julie and Cassie'"

Willy scowls. "Its a legit name. People been in equestrian business for hundreds of years, since the old country. "

Lavender says "And how do you know Chompwhomp isn't French or something for 'by the Hills where we make Champagne?"

"Even if it's a use-name, she chose it, or chooses to still go by it. And that's her choice and should be respected. Although, if you have anything to say about it, please say it in her hearing, for anyone who missed out on the earlier duel to watch."
