Gwen observes the nocker in action. Still undecided on how she feels about the girl.

Aiden leads the way back to the manor, after a brief conversation with Dolph. When they come in, they are assaulted by good smells. Southern style fried chicken, fresh biscuits, scalloped potatoes, greens, the works. Marigold calls out, "You all go wash up before you come to supper. Miss Willy, I've moved your supplies to a guest room. You will be staying?"

Willy follows the crowd in, and sniffs appreciatively. "Yes ma'am, Miss Marigold. A few days and some work, anyway."

"Good! You'll find all you need and fresh towels as well." A smile, and she returns to the kitchen.

Ivan has tried to follow them in, and is doing his best to look small and inconspicuous...

"Ivan, " A firm finger

"I, er, I got time to clean up you think?"

PUPPY EYES.

Aiden has split off up the stairs to his own chambers to clean up, leaving the ladies to themselves.

Willy watches the Lord go.

He looks good from that angle, too!

"I'll bring you a snack later, but Marigold doesn't need a dog in the kitchen. Go on" She fusses at her dog firmly, then whispers "I'llsmuggle you into my room later maybe if you're good"

"Boof." He says in his whisper-bark, an trots out with only one or two backwards glances.

"And yeah, Willy, you got time to clean up. " She nods "Water pressure here is pretty good"

She seems to deflate, relaxing a bit. "Good. I could use a shower. You said my pack's in my room?"

OOC: Assuming it is BIC: "Marigold's quick " A nod and she notices the girl relax a little

"How long do I got?"

She tells her

"Right, gettin' my ass in gear." as off she goes!

A clatter from the front door. "I SMELL CHICKEN!" Briar snuffs the air. "And... strangers!" She looks at Gwen. "Intruders? Can we dump the hot oil on them?"

"Nope. We cannot. We may have new blood if she works out after three days. " Gwen says "She's a nocker who works horseshoes, some leathers and things. Her name is Willy" The redcap might noticed the troll has that focused look of trying to decide on somethtings

"Willy? That's a boy's name." She snorts. "If she doesn't work out, then we can chase her off! With the dogs!"

"She might help the dogs. And horses..a nd the baron so let's hope she does. Let's try to be nice to her. We got our chances here after all. Guess she should get hers."

The childling rolls her eyes. "You're too soft! I'mma call you Marshmallow." A grin. "But it smells GOOD. If guests mean fried chicken, I can play nice for a day or two."

Gwen's face falls at something, then she nods

Briar... doesn't notice, because she's too busy trying to sneak a peek into the kitchen. And there is Marigold's good natured scolding. "Off with you, I know you've been playing with that pup. Go wash up well, and I will be checking that you did!"

"Boo." She turns to look at Gwen. "Last one in the shower has to eat my dust!"

There are, of course, other facilities. But Briar dashes into the one closest to Gwen's room so that she can crow about it later.

Gwen actually lets her go first. And meanders to another to clean off. Thoughtful.
