The meal was good delicious.. and Gwen seems to have put some of her concerns to the side.

D'Lorean was a bit of a chatter box, compared to trolls

The new nocker seems to take careful pains to watch what others do and copy, observing the local etiquette. She doesn't seem to talk much.

"So willy... can you do some fancy designs on clasps or the like?" Dame Lavender D'Lorean asks

"Not really my wheelhouse." she swallows her food "I can put together clasps and buckles but my stuff is work-stuff."

"Substance oversttyle I get, but can't blame me for hoping for Subsnace and some style on top of it" The satyress says

"What were you looking for?" reluctantly.

"I was thinking a clasp for my horse's saddle with the silver wolf symbol" She says "Show a little loyalty at tourney kind of thing."

"You want something that holds things together or something that's decoration?"

"Yes." The satyr says and dimples

Gwen changes subject, or tries to offer an out "What's your favorite project you've done so far, Willy?"

The nocker snorts at the D'Lorean's response, dismissing it. "My own stuff is the most interesting to me, but I guess if you're talking about jobs.... I guess the one where I had to put stall locks on the doors for Fae horses was a good job. Interesting."

Gwen is curious "Soemone was robbing someone's fae horses?"

"Nope. Horses were letting themselves out."

"Ha" Lavender grins "Yeah, Fae horses can be ingenious. I have a friend with one who has Chimerical wings. When that little guy gets big enough, ZOOM.. " A smile "Poor Dagmar, she's gonna be a nervous wreck when that happens"

"Sounds like he just needs the right kind of shoes."

She eats like it's a job.

"mm I'm not sure who does the horse shoes for Rivervale" Lavender considers

"Never heard of it."

Gwen says "It's a nice enough place. A troll lodge ruled by Chief Shacklebreaker. She's a gwydion."

"Mm."

Lavender says "And they've got some boss horses, not as good as ours, I'll say, which will drive Dags nuts, but that's part of the fun for us both"

"Horses, but no farrier?" a snort "Good luck." still eating.

"Oh they probably have one, just not sure who" Lavender says

"Mm."

"How are you liking the place so far?" Gwen says

Willy swallows and nods. "Food's good, that's a plus. The stables look good; neat, clean. Animals in good repair. Snuck a look at the tack room on my way past, it meets standards. So far, not drek."

Lavender translates "that's high praise in nocker talk"

Gwen says "Glad to hear it"

"Yeah, well. Guess we'll see."

Lavender says "Here's hoping for you then. And the food here? Top notch."

"It's hot, at least, yeah."

"Marigold rocks" Gwen says rising with her plate now empty to go put it away and help with the cleaning

Willy wipes her plate with a piece of bread and eats it; to look at the plate, you might not think it needs to be washed.

She takes her stuff to wash up, as well.

Gwen doesn't talk, but she is an example of how it goes its done if one wants to see where things go.

Willy can pick it up pretty quickly; it's like she's had to fit in on short notice in new places before.

Gwen nods after they're done and walks out.

DLavender says "Nice meeting you, Willy"

"Yeah, same to you."

And Delorean, who keeps shifting her name to annoy folks it seems trots out to tend to her horse

"So, er.... what do I do now?" she asks Marigold.

"He want I should shoe that horse now?"
