"Dame Delorean, hello! Oh, that horse ALREADY looks happier..." Dagmar is guided easily enough. Horses are safe.

“Baroness, you are welcome to stay or mingle as you wish. I will never decline your company.” He remarks, though his eyes are on another lady, the hound in Sergei’s arms at the moment.

“Pray, let her roam if you would. The Manor grounds are warded and she can’t get into too much trouble. We even managed a cantrip to turn aside skunks from denning nearby.” Aiden says to Sergei, lest he was worried about his pup running off if set down.

"Oh he was so frustrated with his previosu rider, and who can blame him? That Fiona was a twit"

“Ah, but...” He corrects himself. “If she catches a scent, she may find herself a county over before she looks up?” Admiring.

Nadeen smiles then looks at Sir Sergei, then chuklces "Kind, but I think Sir Sergei is as eager to see the dogs as you are and I might be a third wheel. Still, later I will want a dance with you, Baron,and a Varich often can be stubborn" She does with draw ..for now

Sergei sets glass down "She is well trained, but she is a bloodhound and a fae bloodhound at that. They are very driven in their pursits"

ADAM finds Gwen nearby "Greetings, Adam of Earth Runes.I'm..Gwen, of Silver Wolf"

"He was. Oh, the rescue has been loving your old mare - she's really good with the smallest kids."

"I call now and then" DLOrean says "thank you again for suggesting it"

"Oh" She throws in "How big is Spark?"

"Growing every day, he's up to here already!" She holds her hand at an appropriate level.

Adam bows to Gwen. "A pleasure to meet you."

"Thank you. You don't have to bow to me, I'm .. not even sained yet" Gwen says

Aiden kneels, not seeming to mind the dirt on his knees.. Not that the soft hunting leathers he wears pick up stains easily, and black is a saving grace against showing any smudge.

He offers his hand to, “Glass, is it? Interesting name.” And runs hands over her lightly, both stroking and checking her carriage in an expert manner. “Lovely.”

Adam considers that for a moment. "I don't think manners rely on if someone's Sained or not."

Gwen flushes a bit "True, but bowing is often done to one of a higher rank."

Sir Sergei nods "Glass is ready for a new home.. much as your own remainder might be. You will find no finer nose than a fae bloodhound. They are gentle of temperament , but you have other breeds for more vigorous hunting." Glass puts a glorious nose against Aiden's hand, but holds still as he checks her out. Used to such inspections. She wags

"Odds are you're of higher rank than me, anyway."

"I'll probably be a thane" Gwen says "Which is important, but it's out ranked by a squire. " She shrugs "I don't know what your rank will be either so I guess if you say so. Can I get you a drink or something, Adam?"

He raises his gaze to Sergei, appraisingly. “I see that you have heard that I was considering a scent hound line. She is, indeed, magnificent, as one would expect of EarthRune kennels. Now, currently I am still working with the last of the Ovcharkas of Silverwolf’s most recent litter... Laika, Yuri.” He calls over a nearly identical duo of puffy pups. “Has Earth Runes any need for guardians of this sort, though? They are trod-trained and unfailingly loyal.”

D'Lorean watches the measurement "Already? Spark is sprouting. His mother must be nervous he'll take off. "

"No, no thank you. I need to stay with Sir Sergei."

Briar peers around Gwen. “What even ARE you?”

"I think Sir Sergei has gone to the dogs" Gwen says Oh god. Did I just dad joke at a fete?

"Flying herself? I think I would have remembered if she had wings, or do you speak metaphorically of her speed?" The ssatyress asks

Briar considers that answer. “I’m Briar. I could bite your hand off clean through the wrist, so you’d better not try to shake or do anything funny. But I WON’T, because it’s a party.” She rolls her eyes.

Laika, Yuri move to Sir Sergei and he admits "Their names make me smile. No wonder Baroness Nadeen assured me I would not wish to miss this chance. Earth Runes would dcertainly make use of such a fine breed. Trods are the life blood of any hold. Guardians of them? Always welcome. They tolerate other dogs?"

"Yeah, it's a party." Adam agrees.

"Excuse me please, I should see if Sir Sergei needs me." He bows to the ladies and heads off to see if he can find the Kennel Master.

"You'll have to excuse Briar. She's... blunt"

But she speaks too late

"Oh, no - a treasure!" And she tells of Stallstryke's lair, and the hunt thereof. What she can recall, at least!

D'Lorean says "Oh wow. I.. don't suppose you know where another saddle like that? Asking for a friend... and her name is me" Envy and good humor

She laughs. "Well, maybe you could visit sometime and try it?"

"I would love that" D'Lorean says "And the Baron IS trying to get contacts. A bit reluctantly"

"Mm, yeah. I guess that's what this is."

"But, like, you're the main jouster here, right? And, well, practicing against another person is way better than the quintain."

“They do, though they are not as pack-oriented as others. They will bond, and bond well with a single handler, and obey them unfailingly. If told to work with other dogs, they shall, but are not prone to socialize.” Thoughtful.
