A redcap stayed OUT

Frank does perform a quick first aid assessment on Gina.

Brekke gets her burden into the van as quickly as possible. "Watch them," she tells Heartbalm, indicating both Calbel and Annabelle. Then she goes to Frank's side.

"What does she need?"

"The bird on the seat is a pooka, one of them." Frank rumbles as he finishes; Gina is ok?

Gina seems healthy, there are cantrips on her and...drugs? Ah, to artificually reduce her banality. The 'high' should end after a day or so. They probably kept her primed with it

"She'll be fine," Heartbalm says after looking over Gina "I sense no bumps on her head"

If Heartbalm is there with Gina, Brekke rests a hand on Frank

's shoulder a moment, then goes to keep watch on the others, carrying the pigeon none too gently.

Frank takes her hand before she parts "You are unharmed? I heard shots."

She pauses long enough to give a reassuring squeeze. "I am well."

Only then does he let her go. "Can we all travel?" He asks of... well, anyone able of answering.

"Yes. Get her in the van. We must leave now."

Frank nods, packs everyone up, and closes up the van hood before getting in the driver's seat.

"Shall I contact the Baron while we drive ,I presume back to the hold to take these terrorists in custody?"

Brekke nods. "Do it."

She is being careful to keep watch on both pooka as she hunches in the back of the van with the assortment of passengers.

This WOULD be an ideal dramatic time for a vvillain to slip free, for one of them to get out and escape... but then They remember somewhere out there is a troll named Klurt. One is still out there, but .. it must be said, Gina at least is safe again and the main threat dealt with

And Sir Heartbalm calls in, and says "The Baron is ready for us. Loyal thanes and knights await"

Frank takes them there directly.

If Gina is safe, Brekke is satisfied with giving the local officials something to do in dealing with Klurt.

That odd shrinking effect still throws folks off. But they adjust, and the Baron greets them as the prisoners are taken "Was Heartbalm of use? The knight's mistakes helped lead to this"

Sir Heartbalm hangs his head

Frank remains in the truck with Gina.

"He redeemed himself, Baron. We would not have had success without his skills."

She gives a report on the events.

Baron Gruffydd looks almost relieved to hear Sir Greggory Heartbalm redeemed himself. Brekke knows the look.. honor demands you come down even on your vassals sometimes even when you care for them, if they were in the wrong. This allows leniency and honorable leniencey at that "KLurt will be found and arrested. In the mean time, I may have these neer do wells transfered to Count Jude's domain for holding . "

"That would please me, Baron." It's a grim sort of pleasure.

"Baron, a further request. I do not know whether Gina will remain here. If she does, I would request that your people help keep watch over her safety, that such things do not happen again."

"I will asign Lord Heartbalm and a thane to see to her care and any recovery plus protrection..."

"My thanks. We must also ensure that she is returned to her life without implicating Sir Franklyn to the mortal authorities in the matter of her disappearance."

And... that is that. Gina never wakes to see Frank's face. She's dropped off wit ha 'kindly old man' who returns her to her husband. Gina will have odd dreams but neither she or her bespelled fellow know she was missing. Brekke's requests are heeded. And.. a debt is owed anytime she likes ditto for Frank.

And Frank and Brekke have only the ride home to worry about, and, a call to Jessica perhaps to let her know her mother is safe.
