Zara makes quick work of the bedding - tearing them into strips and knotting a rope.

The decay rather than explosion or other force actually kept the damage relatively quiet. She has time to tie and arrange the strips into her rope. But she does hear footsteps outside the door. The guard perhaps?

Zara is not going to wait to find out!

And OUT she goes! It must be said, adventures keep even librarians in moderately good shape.

And out she slides...only to find someone waiting for her. One of the sisters, who assures her she's doing very well considering she has so few limbs and an improper web!

Being scrawny has its advantages - she doesn't need to be that strong to manage a slide down.

Mother, why don't you see if Sis can make it?" New squawking and protests "You don't say? You DON'T say? Uh huh... well, I'm on your side but got to golovyoubye" Click!

And moves on unaware of the jailbreak

Zara blends with the skill of her kith, and a spider settles on her '1122 is helping August'

Zara had every right to rob the castle blind, or at least take some minor form of revenge...

but that wasn't to be.

Not when the automatons began to storm the city, and her delicate ears heard the scream of a childling across the street.

She grimaces... but, dammit...

She goes to work.

It would appear that Darespark has gotten desperate, and crazed. This is a last ditch ploy to throw foes off, but darn it, it will work. The childling in question is a piskie girl cornered off.

She's no combatant, but a rescue from a clumsy golem fake? That she can do!
