Zara is in one giant dictum laden tower. It has one major command going at all times. Don't cantrip.

The order pulses through her brain like a heartbeat does through a chest.

It makes her head ache. But Zara has... alternatives. Damn them all.

Squirming seems impossible too. There's a guard outside, she can hear whoever is b reathing, and the seams are impossibly tight. Were she in the Dreaming proper, sure, but here? UGh

One has to admire Dougal locks.

What is the room like?

Actually, except that she's a prisoner under a mental lock not to cast, it's quite pleasant in some ways. Circular in shape. Sealed windows give a lovely view of the city and have dark curtains cover up excess light. There is a bed with lavender clad pillows, and a darker purple sheets of satin. A blanket of thicker hue is folded at the base should she get cold. It's burgundy in hue. There could be more clashing combinations. There is a single book shelf with a selection of novellas of various genres. Somone has a sense of humor as Count of Monte Cristo is among them.

There is a reading chair near the book case, with a lantern that turns off and on as required. The lantern looks more like the sort you see in old movies about train yards but that adds to its charm.

The windows merit a closer look. That is the second most obvious avenue for escape...

A small desk of jetblack wood has papers and ink with quil. The 'document of confession' at the top of one of those otherwise blank papers sours much appeal though. Apparently she's allowed to confess if she'd like, in writing.

The Window is sealed, and the glass has been infused. No easy break through. Beyond that, the drop looks sheer. No ledge to move to on the outside.

"MORE WEIGHT." She scribes, and shoves the paper out for the guard.

The paper slides through the narrow narrow gap, and is picked up.

There's a 'mmph' sound, possibly a troll out there.

How far from the window to the ground?

A generous forty two foot drop, which as we know, is several Zara's stacked on top of each other.

....7 lengths of bedding. Two sheets, a blanket, she could easily get that...

Or at least enough to drop the last section, yes.

From the stairs to the rooms door there must be a landing - based on the shape of the room, is it the only one on this level of the tower?

SHe suspects that there is..

Alas, the ink quill that she used is nice, but not unique enough to be worth collecting.

She puts her ear to the wall, seeing if she can hear anything of a neighbor.

Alas, she hears nothing... or does she?

Anyone else might miss it. Where chimerically trhis wall is strong and resolved, she finds a centipede, a natural non chimerical centipede

Of what use this is to her, it is not our place to know

Perhaps a friend. Perhaps a snack. Sluagh are odd creatures.

Indeed, while she has always gotten along better with spiders, this creature IS a fascinating little predator in its own right. The fact that it creeps most out means it does have aesthtic worth. No doubt her little brother would love it.

Of course, to affect it would be a matter of nature, not fae.

And... dammit, the throbbing of her head from that accursed dictum...

And that! Robbed of even a simple WILLOW WHIsper.. the GALL!

She wriggles under the bed, inspecting the frame - checking to see if it has bolts.

Without tools, it will take time to work one free... but, well, patience is a virtue.

She had hoped for Self Sealing stembolts... Nockers and Dougals love that stuff and they ARE myriad in their uses.

She DOES find , instead, two old bolts , quite long she suspects (Though she can't pull it out yet). Very old craftsmanship... but also.. really embedded. She may not have the might or leverage to pluck it free. There is no groove in the head.

Zara is the daughter of a Nocker, and mentored of a tinker and a furniture maker.

Yes, she can do this... probably.

Zara takes off her shoes and unlaces them.

Shoes unlaced and removed, she now has free toes and if she wants, lacings to work with. This gives her a chance to grip the bolts, and where she is not strong enough to just YANK them out, she can put a light spin.. and make strength less needful. It is not a proper screw, but it does seem to work better with the wood this way. And, after several minutes, she has two long bolts.

She just needs the one, for now.

And one she has!

And it's back to the window - the glass is hardened. But it is set in a frame, and mortared to the wall. Everything has a weakness. She uses the metal bolt to poke and prod around the windowsill, giving a few experimental scrapes.

She taps, taps, taps...

This will take quite a while, but time is on her side.
