The woman looks offended, as if one found a hobo had walked into a fancy restaurant to use the bathroom

Let her. Kerri knows her own worth. But she's definitely getting all the danger vibes here. It's not just the chefs. It's the guests. They're all in danger.

The woman turns and walks away... black and silver

She leans in a bit to murmur to the author. "Seriously, though...if you get a sense that somebody's luring you somewhere, find a reason to come speak with me, or with somebody else."

"Don't tell me you really are a CIA agent?" He asks

She winks. "I've just read too many good books."

"I Hope I wrote one, and I thank you " he says

"At any rate, have you been finding ways to enjoy yourself?"

"Oh yes, the food is wonderful, the weather soothing, and I highly reccomend ..." She gets details on local museums and historical sites

She listens and nods and asks questions now and then. After a bit, she adds, "I've also been hearing mutterings about an auction of some sort. Have you?"

"I had heard someone speaking of going to an auction, bt I didn't inquire"

"Hmm. I've never been to one, unless you count local fairs. Though, considering this place, it's probably for very pricey items."

"Did they mention when?"

"One could imagine" He says 'If I hear more about it, I'll let you know. Or you could ask the man I heard " He describes the fellow

"Oh, thank you! I'll see if I can locate him. Did you get his name?"

"I believe someone called him Mister Jennings"

She suspects the name is just as fake as the one associated with the auction on the paper in their room.

Indeed, but it is enough to get started on finding the fellow
