Her eyes twinkle even as she says, "Now, now...this is serious business."

"Of course" Obligingly but he can't hide his pleasure at seeing her delight "Let's just say Chef Lisselle seems like a nice lady and a class act, which is further motivation to indulge in our protective instincts"

"And in her excellent cooking," she adds.

"Yeah, that's a must" A nod

She looks around to see if they are the object of any attention since the visit from the chef.

with the two sidhe gone, there is less reason to worry... right?

A boggan bussing tables , so easy to ignore...

But she knows Boggans.

And suspects they've got an eavesdropper

or at least one hoping to

She squeezes Olgar's hand twice, but doesn't change her expression. Just a quick glance towards the boggan. "Anyway. This has been lovely, and it's only the first night. You're sure you'll be fine exploring on your own while I'm taking lessons?"

"Oh Yeah, I'm good. YOu know me, I'll get a kick out of beach combing"

"You always find something interesting," she agrees.

And they chat innocuously for the remainder of the meal.

Oh so much small talk and not even informative! the busboy moves onto more interesting areas

Kerri makes sure she'll be able to recognize him if they encounter him again.

She's got a good knack for faces, not like the fellow is a piskie

Fortunately, and for the record, he has TWO eyes

A VERY important point. In fact, as she reflects on it later, it would be only too possible for a certain one-eyed boggan to turn up at this hotel for this event.

Yes. Concordian nobles? Intrigue? Luxury?

Like catnip for him.

But that's thought for another time. Meal time over, they each have thier plans and unofficial patrols

Over the next day, she gets to enjoy some scheduled events, some of them quite relaxing, or at least different

She hob-nobs with other hotel guests, chatting about their experiences and the chefs.

She meets a lot of talent, it's not just chefs. Some artists, poets, including ones who are suprised to have been invited.

One older man from Germany, admits "I did not think a humble ghost writer such as myself would get such treatment. It's not like anyone would know my name for my work"

Kerri's warning bells are going off like mad, but she simply smiles and says, "What's something you've written? Maybe I've heard of it."

"I'm under contract to not say about anything recent, but I did help with... " And he names an autobiogrpahy for a British Princess from the 80s

which won awards . The old man winks and puts a finger to his lips

She hasn't read it, but she's certainly heard about it. Her very impressed reaction is followed by a wink and a nod.

"A very conflicted lovely woman" he says

"It can't be an easy life."

"No, but I wanted to write, not fame, nor even the money, though" He admits "The money is good. I wanted to write. needed to. And this was where a chance came about. I still don't understand how I was invited here though. While I am online as a ghost writer' they've been treating me like a celebrity" he chuckles "I half way expect to find a pretty woman in my bed room, and at my age, I'm no longer as sure what to do with one"

His story is different, but more than a few of the dreamers here are here just for a few days. They vary in fame, and fortune. But their talent seems to be unquestioned

Kerri's brow knits a bit. "It's such a lovely trip...but...I agree, something's a little strange about it."

"It does feel so. If I were writing a story, fiction in this case, I would perhaps make it a murder mystery, alas, in that case, my stand in would be a victim"

"Well, that's not comforting."

"I am sure you'd be the survivor who warns the police, or , perhaps, if it were an American movie, we learn you were formerely with a governemnt agency and they did not know that, and now you must free us all. Strong women protagnoists are more plentiful than ever. which is good. They sell well"

A light laugh. "Very flattering! Of course, if it were up to me, everybody here would be strong enough to be their own protagonists and get through the whole narrative!"

"Oh that would be far too scattered to keep the focus on today's audiance" He smiles "But I commend you"

And then out of the corner of her eye, she sees a sidhe woman, not the one she saw last night, walk by. The sidhe barely notices Kerri despite her size and kith. No, her eyes are on the old dreamer.
