"Yeah?" She tugs and pokes at various elements.

"I don't know them that well... I think one is into real estate, the construction side maybe?"

"Hunh." She cranes her neck and squints.

"Now this horse is Snowthorn, I rode him last night ...."

A wary look at the horse.

Snowthorn is a professional, disciplined and dedicated

And bobs his head in greeting with a nicker

"Hi horse."

"I think he likes you... now over here.." She inntroduces each damn horse

Whether Katrina meets one she likes or not is up to her and that horse

"Jeeeez, how many horses are there?"

"Fifty?"

"CLoser to twenty" Lavender says with pride "I love em."

"Yeah, seems so."

A high pitched whinny y from the tiniest resident..

Someone has discovered APPLE SLICE. Perhaps no one is owning up to this, but Joker gets especially excited when Dee is around.

"Oh, shite, he's so furkin' tiny! He's, like, a polly pocket pony!"

"OH he's our baby" A nod, "Born last febuary. That's Joker." She reaches out and offers an apple slice

"You want to feed him an apple slice? Just make sure you don't have your fingers overlap with it so he doesn't bite"

"He better not. I need my hands."

He nibbles but does not chomp

"I bet you do" She makes sure the colt is looking healthy

"Well, I guess he's okay." Katrina awkwardly pets his mane.

"Oh he's trouble, lots of mischief, but he is a charmer"

"He reminds me of my brother."

"Oh you have a brother?" She makes a mental note "How old?"

"Oh, he's (elementary-school age). Half-brother, really."

"Ah" A nod "Cute but trouble"

"Exactly."

"He lives with Dad, so I see him on Dad-weekends."

"Oh.. your dad live in this area too?"

"Next town over. With Janice."

"Ooo should I start hating Janice now? I want to support you"

"Uh..." Taken aback.

"What? Sounded like you didn't like her" A shrug

"I mean... she's just THERE."

"I don't hate her."

"Ah, I overshot. Apologies then"

"I don't like her, but I don't hate her."

"At least you like your half brother" She pets Joker "me I.. I don't have family. Unless you count here."

"Yeah? They jerks or dead?"

"Bit of both"

"your mom cool?"

"Yeah. I mean, for a mom."

She moves alon to show her the kennels
