"And the warmth" Wryly goes Jonas

"Piper?" She smiles. "Oh, I've heard her play. She'd be welcome."

Something catches his eye. As he lurks in the background. And despite his promise to Dagmar, he is feeling low, and wretched. Why shouldn’t he just take a look? Maybe it’s plans about how she plotted to use the chain. That would be something.

Edging his way, letting the crowd carry him, sliding through.

And he closes as Nadeen strides through

"Hey, no stealing my girlfriend for your hold troubadour" Siv fusses

"Oh, yes, hello! A chef you say? I look forward, yes, yes, I would love to try your pies." Shaking hands, smiling.

"Alright, alright, no stealing troubadours..."

So many folks abused. ..now knowing hope. So many greetings.

Such a distraction as they push past Nadeen

and so many chances to...

he pulls out the paper. Okay. Great. it's a grocery list? He's not sure

She.. she didn't just come for one chain.She milked the Baron for news on any others!

...the dead Baron...

The paper is quickly hidden.

And his expression looks even graver. Seeking one treasure, perhaps, a remembrance of heritage. Seeking FOUR, or MORE? That is arming for a war.

Jacob whispers "Good? Bad? " A beat "We're getting the hell out of here aren't we?"

Indeed, a spider is tapping on the boy.. probably relaying Sisterly ire

He takes a moment, stares at his phone. Finger hovering over a text... but he puts it away. “Let’s find DeVere, and see if he can get us home.”

Siv and Jonas have a magical ship. And Nadeen - something about her, and the horse she rode in on. All in his head, of course. But he does lay a clammy hand on Jacob’s shoulder as they weave through the boisterous crowds. “Your Sister, she a protective type?”

"She's fussy." he counters

Jonas just..gets right to work "Baroness. tell me where you need me and I'll be there" he tells Sparrow "Want me to tend to scouting the area for those former agents who are leaving if they can?"

“I might know the sort. I have to apologize to Lilly. No corpse.” Then he remembers, and looks down at the boy. “Why.. specifically... am I in trouble?”

"Smart, yes. See if any of the liberated wish to aid you. This is their home, and they must be part of its defense. I will not deny them that right."

Jacob whispers "Because there's a V-A-R-I-C-H here, isnt' that always trouble?

"

He whispers to Quarte, “Do you need to go home? Or maybe the new Barony could use your eyes.”

Jonas nods and off he goes to do as thee new ruler commands.He has in the past been harsh on sidhe rulers, but SParrow was, in a sense,drafted, and by his lady no less.

Tappity "9 & 6 are staying."

It takes him a moment to decode. Jacob may roll his eyes if he wishes.

“I know a coffee shop we can hunker down in for a while if you want. They might have spoiled cocoa. I want to take some notes. Unless you want to go back with Siv and their crew?”

To Quarte. Jacob, he is keeping an eye on.

Nadeen makes her way to a pumpkin carriage below. Wudlig awaits"Wudlig, to a trod please. You.. might want to come back .. work to be done I think in making this hold someone elses"

"But not yours?" wudlig says

Quarte is a Wise Lady. He is a childling brother of a Witch that may be WROTH if he got lost on the way home.

"It's too damn hot here anyway" She motions, and they drive off. It's only later when she gets home she'll reach for the paper that isnt' there.. and scream

Jacob shrugs "Coffee is bitter. Sure"

Decem seems quite attached to Jacob - HE is not escaping the lady spider.

he sighs. "Decem... don't be like that"

Symon is attempted to creep out of the hold and away from the fuss. Does he succeed?

Jacob in tow.

He does

Away from the heat of battle and the uproar of triumph, Symon visibly relaxes a touch. He makes a succinct page of notes for Baroness Sparrow.

It includes the names he had overheard as well as best descriptions of the crew that ambushed him. A mention of a coffee shop owner who he suspects went out of her way to protect those she could, and the disgustingly handsome and unprofessional slug who helped him at his own risk. A smirk. THAT sluagh can get rewarded this time.

And finally, a request that she might hear a petition on ‘a small matter of some concern to his kith.’

“Siv said that she got all of the tattoos, but some folk may still be hiding, and not know things have changed.” He whispers in explanation to Jacob. “I don’t know if the crowning freed them by default. Better safe than sorry.”

And yes, Lovecraft is petted. “Is that a pigeon feather?” He pulls a tuft from her ear fluff.

"I helped free em" Jacob says then says 'But don'tmention that in the letter. Nobody's squiring ME" Shudder

Lovecraft looks smug

“Then I will leave it as unknown but recommended that it be looked into. Hopefully Siv doesn’t rat you out.”

"She's got a big mouth for a troll" he whispers
