Minerva has taken to her new existance well, she likes her room, but she seems to spend more time wandering the halls, getting to know the lay out and the rooms.

Most agree she is Unseelie, she's not rude, nor cruel, but her views seem to be ones of enlightened self interest

Vince has dressed up to meet the new nobility, even as a yet-untitled fledge, she is still a Lady and deserves to be attended to. Nothing too ostentacious, but a nice courtier's outfit, in the hold colors - Fiona-red for his silken shirt, a blue ribbon to tie back his mane of hair, even longer since COVID curtailed salon trips, and a matching Liam-blue ribbon on his tail. "My Lady, may I beg the pleasure of an introduction?" He sweeps a bow.

She turns and sees the Pooka . Oh what a beauty, of course, she's sidhe! Her mortal form was of Celtic stock but a quarter Asian, and what was 'exotic cute' has been melded and enhanced by the fae soul into sublimely radiant. Her dark hair flows like black silk down her back, rather long itself and her eyes shimmer

"I fear my title is unknown, but I am Minerva, House... also unknown. Currently ward to Earth Runes, under mentorship of the Seer"

The word 'unknown' seems to irk her a bit

"Unknown, unknown. That IS a sad state. Rather, let us say, "My Lady of the House Yet Undiscovered, if I may be so bold, for it is a delightful mystery? So sayeth Vincenzo the Wise, though thou may call me simply Vince, so long as thou DOST call me."

"Are you the jester here?" She asks

"My lady, I never jest. T'wouldst be a fool's errand, that we leave to the lower echelons, though truly, it's never really all just black and white. I serve the Lord and Lady of the land, and anyone else who wouldst come to me, a lover of libations I am, and a lover liberally, but of all things else, of what I am? I am, at your service."

"Well, Good Pooka Vincent, I commend you on your service and it is nice to meet you" Minerva says gracefully

He taps his chin thoughtfully, brow wrinkled as though with concern. "You know not your house, nor your title. And the name you carry - is that not thy mortal's moniker? Hast thou not some inkling from Arcadia of who you shall be?" Gently, not mocking or trying to rub salt into the wound which apparently irks her.

"Perhaps the name as similar? I remember things... I do" She frowns in frustration, "I remember grand hallways of dark marble enchanted so no steps upon them were heard. I remember my son and daughter.... elyothea? Blast.. not sure which was which or there names either. I recall holding a small mirror to a dragon's face and forcing her to submit" A sigh "No I fear I have no use name beyond the one I conquered"

"Each droplet of memory a draught so sweet, and yet so bitter as it leaves your glass empty when you thirst for more." He opines, sympathetically. "And yet, to have merely the name of thy gentle departed host, for a year and a day? That seems uncoming of thy stature and grace." The pooka tugs at his tail, thoughtfully. "If only there was a name thy might claim. It is said that the Sidhe are the finest of namers, and even without that heady skill, thou might find something more... befitting?"

"More fitting than the roman goddess of wisdom?" A brow

He bows in acknowledgement of such. "And yet, were not the Romans but late-comers who took ideas and paraphrased them? Tsk. Now, a TRUE Goddess of wisdom, ah, that would be the Greek. The wise and courageous, Goddess of Wisdom and War... sweet patron of the arts, Pallas Athena..."

"RIght of ignorance is easier to maintain is I stick with Minerva I think... and Athena might belong to some satyress"

"Oh, oh dear. I apologize. I did not realize that my Lady bows before the might of the behooved. Still, if only you could claim some name that at least hinted towards your TRUE self. It may help set your stature and lead your dreams to further recollection, versus clinging to a base mortal moniker."

"Oh Tamer of Dragons, and Whisper Footed, Mirror Wielder and Beloved Mother...." Purring in eloquence.

She prickles a bit "I can't tell if you're mocking me or not but if you are, I'd advise against it."

His eyes widen and he sinks to a graceful bow, head lowered. "I wouldst not dream of it. Ask any here, mockery is not a suit I wear when courting any lady's favor. This I swear my by my very scales and fork-ed tongue."

Minerva eases "pooka are hard to read at the best of times and I'm just now relearning about them. I'll assume it's my lack of dealing with them at play"

"What does it matter to you that I go by Minerva?" She asks "Did a girl named Minerva break your heart or cheat you?"

"Merely that, this is your chance to choose. Choose what name you shall carry for a year or longer, and by choosing, influence how people see you based on that choice. Shall you take the path of thy mortal's name? It is to dress in borrowed clothes, and thou may find that it fits ill before another chance comes upon thee. An opportunity, is all I seek to illuminate."

A frown "I had not considered the idea that name might seem mundane... or ill fitting for the court here. Has the Baroness shown distaste for it?"

"Well, the Baroness does go by Coradel to all who share the pleasure and permission to address the grand lady by name. Ah, my sweet lioness." A hand to his heart. "Though Chloe by birth, I have never heard her espouse any especial tie to the name, as might a Commoner born to it, or an Autumn sidhe. Alas, it is also known that your Host was beknown to a few here before you illuminated her. They may think of the name you bear, and think yet as to the young and tender mortal, and I venture you'd prefer to be seen on thy own merits, and not a mortals remembrence."

"I certainly afford to have the baroness think less.. wait others knew her here? I thought it was just Adam?"

"And as well, Sir Bachdion, the Baroness's own mentor."

"Yes, well... Adam is irritating and irrational," She disregards him "But if his hysteria is poisoning others against me... I may have to take steps"

"Sir Bachdion has a tendency to the occasional dionysian revel, but he is no Maenaed to exhibit hysteria?" Tilting his head in guileless confusion.

"Mmph" She says "the mortal is gone. I am here. He needs must accept that"

He nods, a touch sadly. "He must learn to accept that, aye. Yet, even slumbering as he may be, he is yet already a beloved part of the holding, with three who chose to mentor him. I am but a stupid beast, but I can see that 'tis better to find allies when first arriving into another pride's lands, meager though they may be. If the name holds meaning to the mortal that once was, why cling to it other than amidst mortals where such is needed? You will be, can be WILL be so much more. Let your name be a sign of what is yet to come."

"Minerva Regina?" A brow up. Sidhe humor?

And yet, he takes the offering, even in jest, as gospel. "Ye lords and ladies, Witness, our newest star in the court of EarthRunes, may she shine brightly amidst the constallations ...rather partial to Leo, there... and be known as Regina! A more marvelous name I could never have imagined! Lo, and even the King of Beasts shall kneel at her queenly feet."

And he does, in fact, kneel - not in a pathetic, grovelling fashion, but with his eyes upturned towards her in clear adoration.

She looks alarmed "Stop that! I dare not call myself Regina, it means queen. Folks will think I'm trying a coup"

"What is to be a sidhe, but to be daring? And is this not a hall of Fiona, who live to dare?"

"There is only a one in 14 chance I am Fiona..." a pause "Well, one in 12 more like if you consider which houses lean Autumn"

A look at the Lion "And daring is one thing, presumption is another thing"

"I would never presume, my lady. But if it is Latin that appeals, let yourself be Andromeda, princess of the stars, or, mayhaps, here is a library filled with opportunities?"

"If I promise to check out the library will you stop trying to name me?" She smooths her raven feather pattern dress

"I promise, my lady, with the caveat that when you do choose one, please let me be among the first to know? I crave to feel the shape of your name upon my lips." Such daring sweet talk!

She puts a finger over his lips to shush him "I'm starting to see why the Fiona here are fond of you. But still, you do try patience. I shall leave you know when and IF I choose a different name. Now be off with you, sir. There are too many wrong ways for me to take a pooka's plots that we be boon companions so quickly. Shoo.. It is not my right to dismiss, but shoo? Shoo I may do. Shoo"

"Parting is such sweet sorrow that I shall say goodbye, till it be meow-rrow." And he bows and leaves, humming softly to himself. Well. That could have gone better, but! It also could have gone worse...

"What a curious beast" She mutters to herself, then turns to seek out this library. She had seen it during the tour, but not really gotten INTO it

Minerva Not that I'm allowed the name for fear it will upset the man who tried to MURDER me cannot hide her sidhe passion fullly, therefore, she is glorious

I did nothing wrong! She says Since when were mortal lives valued over changeling? Since when were sidhe souls a horrible infliction on the world ?

Tears are welling... well, she forbids it!

The Baron felt off anyway... and the whispering one... both of them had something distrustful about them!

She does not go to her mentor. Instead, she goes to her room. if she's to cry, no one will see it What if everyone here thinks I am a monster?
