He looks at the author's name again.

Oh well, on the list, throw it on the pile

He does. In fact, by this time, he's got a basket.

He follows Bachdion around, carrying books.

"The Bright gift burns soon" A voice whispers

He gives the Heckronomicon a sour look.

Only it didn't sound like the book

He glances around; sluagh whisper.

And he sees a pale girl, pretty, but with that "I think she died recently" look to her skin

Yup. A sluagh

"Oh." quietly; he thinks of Lily "Hello. I'm Adam."

"Salut," She says, "I am Lachaise. I have delivered my warning... good bye."

"Wait, warning? What?"

And the girl is.. gone?

An exasperated sigh. "Damn it...." he hustles to see Sir Bachdion.

Search as he might, she's a better hider than he is a seeker

He finds Bachdion "RTeady to check out?"

"Yes, Sir, Sir, listen, there was a slaugh here? A girl, her name was... uh, Lackas? She said she delivered a warning. She said the Bright gift burns soon."

"That sounds ominous," he frowns

"Yeah. So what do we do?"

"We head home. A sluagh has chosen to help us , or so it seems. We tahnk the nearest shady corner" He looks at one "Merci" then looks at Adam 'Now we go home. She has given as much as she wishes or she would have bargained perhaps."

"Why did she tell me? Why didn't she talk to you?"

"If I had a theory? She probably thinks your'e cute. Or at least interesting."

"Yeah?" he brightens and also glances into corners as he follows.

"Oh, sluagh girls are ..odd, but they are still women." He moves to the counter to check out

"Quiet, though."

"Oh yes." They pay for it, and leave. Bachdion finds a private place, and flicker flashes them back to Earth RUnes

And only once there, and it's just them, does he say "Between you and me? I know some satyrs who swear cold fish is the best thing on the menu. But mind you don't word it that way where one can hear you"

Adam blinks. "Ok, that's a little weird but I'm not judging."

He laughs "Okay. Go on check with your other chores and tasks. I'll see these get to the libarary"
