Adam goes about getting pictures of the dog in a safe park, maybe some video for a TikTok, and looks around a bit for lost dog posters. He'll post on social media and lost pet sites, either from Sir Bachdion's computer or a local library (appropriately masked, of course). He even makes a list of veterinarians and drives by to ask if they know about any pets that have gone missing.

They inform him this dog does not exist!

Ok. Clearly he exists.. but no dog matching the look but they'll keep an ear to the ground

Maybe there's a chip? The vet could check.....

The vet does.

No chip

and.. no the dog is not fixed

"he doesn't SEEM feral per se... but he's got trust issues"

"Damn. Ok. Well....." he offers a flyer, his information, the websites at each vet (although he only checks for a chip at one) "Thanks for looking. What do I owe you?"

"Ah, for checking? Forget it. Consider it a freebie. Anyone helping animals in THESE times like you are deserves a break. But if I were you, I might consider a name for him. Could be you've got a dog"

"I, uh, don't know if I can. But I'll take care of him, see if I can find him a home. Thanks, doc." And Adam takes the dog away again, back to the Freehold. He makes sure the new dog got a good romp outside so he can spend some time in -his- kennel, away from the (girl) Fae dogs.
