Adam put the car in park (not throwing it there, but carefully shifting) and opens the door to at least stand and look.

A miserable half starved cur lays breathing hard.

"Oh, hey, Sir? Sir?" Adam takes a few steps towards the animal..... stops, and puts a hand on his stomach. He squints at the dog.

the dog doesn't seem to have any glamour in him. But while it was scared , the gesture to Adam's belly seems to have it saying 'you're hungry too'?

"Sir?" he calls for guidance "It's.... just a dog."

"It happens" He says coming out to see it "oh poor guy had a scare, and.. a rough life"

"Yeah. So. What do we do? Just... keep going?"

"What does your heart tell you?" Sir Bachdion says

"Help him." Immediately.

"Then do so" Sir Bachdion says "Use what you've learned of dogs to earn his trust..and let's get him in the car"

"Ok......"

Adam slowly approaches the dog. "Hey....." He offers his hand. "Hungry? I can feed you. You wan to come with me? Maybe we can find you a home."

Cautious... but... Adam knows how to take it easy, and.. the dog sniffs.

He lets it happen, and will pet when accepted.

"You want to come with us? We can get something to eat?"

"Come on......" he tries leading the dog towards the car.

Dogs are dogs, and food makes them lose some resistance. The dog pushes it's muzzle into his hand. No food there.

And slowly, the dog is lead along.

And into the car

Bachdion tries not to wince at the dirty dog in HIS car

"Sorry, Sir." Quietly encouraging the dog into the car. "I'll clean it."

"Yes," The knight says "yes you will... but.. it can wait"

"Yes, Sir......" and he coaxes the dog into the car. "C'mon....."

The dog hops in. and circles around, panting, nervous

"There you go......." Adam slides into the driver's seat. "Sir, go back to the manor or what?"

"Back to the manor I think... sorry"

"It's.... ok." Adam regrets going back because it is an end to the evening but.... he goes and is ok with it for the dog's sake.

He drives like he might never see a car again, though.

Sir Bachdion says "You know how to bathe a dog right?"

"Yeah, sure, I do it almost every day in the ken...... Oh. Yeah, I'll make sure he's clean."

"Good..because he smells worse than Shalimar in a fuss"

A sniff. "Oh. Yeah. Sorry, Sir. I'll clean him, and the car, and everything."

"Oh don't mind me, Lad. Just a bit testy" As they pull once more into the area of Earth Runes

"Sir? Why?" Concerned.

Adam parks.

"My car, and..well, I know you wanted to get out and advanture tonight... sorry"

"I did, yeah, but.... but you asked, right?" He glances in the backseat. "Was that wrong? I mean.... you asked."

"And I'll clean the car, I promise, it'll be.... like, better. I promise. I swear it!"

"Oh Adam hey" A hand on his shoulder "You didnt' do anything wrong. I'm not mad and I'm SURE Not disappointed in you. In fact I'm proud" A smile "I just feel like you've been denied your ... fun"

He grins. "Nah. I mean..... for now? But maybe another time....." He strokes the steering wheel.

"I mean, if you want."

"Maybe we can get the dog something to eat?"

"Yes, definitely" He rises "And don't worry, you'll drive this beauty again. " a smile as they get out of the car

"Can I?" desperate hope

"I mean....."

"Of course, Adam. You handled a dog leaping out in front of you, you drove her well"

"C'mon boy..... come out......" He encourages. "She's a dream." About the car.

And the dog looks nervous but follows

Adam dashes to get some food. Bachdion might be left dog-sitting.

Bachdion looks at the the dog "He's a good kid."
