"Well, there's Wilcox of Teaneck... he's a sidhe.. furk I love saying that. Then there's Lyron, the islander guy, though he's nice about things. ..honestly as a satyr he probably doesn't see a problem but he'd back off if she asked him. And there's Ramone, he's an Eshu.. heavy on the Unseelie side"

"Heard about Lyron." Scowling. "Don't know the other two but I've been to Teaneck....."

"Yeah, well, your mom is hot enough, and unlike Hearth Kerri, she's a satyress. The kith has a rep for being open. Not always furking fair, but it's probably just adding to that 'I have a chance' hope." She snorts "Me? I don't know. Most guys get on my nerves"

"You into girls?"

"I'm into WORK. I'm into creation. ..and engines of destruction. I'm into forging my vision into a solid dream, working with my hands and pouring my heart into that craft while my brainpan guides it all. Why is everyone so caught up in making out or shacking up?"

" 'Cause that's -why- people do all the work?" He seems puzzled.

"What??"

"I mean.... whatever." He broods a little, then sighs. "Screw it. It's her business, and I don't really know any of those guys, so....."

A shrug.

"Yeah? Well," she frowns "Your mom seems to love your dad.. I met em. But gotta be a bitch to make it work."

"S'their business."

"Huh" She ponders then says "Then I guess i owe you an apology. I furking brought it up and got you riled up and guess that was wrong. "

"Nah, it's cool. I mean..... I don't -love- the idea, and I'm sure as hell not going to, like, linger on the images but I appreciate you were just trying to let me know what's up."

She grunts "You're not a bad guy" A major concession

A cocky grin. "Yeah? Thanks. Same to you."

"Feh" She says "Just don't call me Sweetie, okay?"

Adam holds up his hands at chest height, palms towards her. "Lesson learned!"

"Cool" She nods

"So.... like.... you don't do -anything- but work?" dubiously.

"Work is what makes Nocker's happy, well, some types. We're not like big on flipping burgers all day or making the same thing over and over" A snort

"Well yeah, I can see that. Hey, you want to sit down? We've got some drinks around here somewhere, right?"

"Yeah, somewhere.. sure" She says "I still enjoy going out and stuff, but it's really a side thing"

Adam rummages around to see what's available. "What do you like going out to do?"

"You ever been to a monster truck rally?"

"No. Seen the ads on TV, though!"

"Hard to miss.. SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY" she smirks "It's so cheesy I like it"

Adam grins and nods, turning with a couple beverages in his hands to bring them over. "Yeah! That's it!"

She takes one "Sometimes, the loud and absurd has it's own glamour..and some of the guys are pretty creative in what they do to their trucks"

"Do they have those here?"

"yeah, sometimes sure. Dam COVID has put a clamp on a lot of them but they used to be regular"

"Maybe the next time they have one we could get tickets." He sits and slurps.

"Not a date though" Brow

"Not if you don't want it to be." with a grin.

She holds up a palm "No offense, but pass on any date."

"Nah, that's cool. I mean.... I guess I don't blow up or break stuff so I'm not as interesting to you."

"Also , you GOT plenty of company" She says

"Hey, there's room for more. I mean, not you, no, but, in general."

"Geez man, don't you ever think of like.. picking just one girl to be with?"

"Why is everyone hung up on that?"

"Because no one wants to be Girl Monday, Girl Tuesday, Girl Wednesday.. and so on.. well ,maybe some do but geez"

"Well, there you go!" drink "-Some- do; those are the girls for me. I mean... shit, I'm 16, right? But everyone wants me to settled down!?!? Screw that noise."

"Not married, but like .. girlfriend boyfriend.. you don't want to settle for that?" "

"Ha! EXACTLY. 'Settle.' No, I don't want to Settle."

"Would -you- want to settle for something that works 'okay'?"

A frown at that "Maybe not... but you got to get to KNOW Someone... better to focus than scatter your attenion when you're crafting"

"Look, I was really into my last girlfriend and breaking up sucked. I don't want to focus too much right now." he admits honestly.

"Oh.. hey, old wounds.. okay that's different" She nods

He nods, drinks.

"Anyway. -I- think it's ok to not get serious with anyone, and date more than one person when you want to, as long as you're honest about it."

She ponders "yeah, honest lechery is better than being a putz user. Fair."
