"Can't complain about the food" He admits

"It's delicious" His mother agrees, "This fruit salad is very nice"

"Mmph." Adam agrees.

"The art gallery here is lovely too. I really have to admit" His mtoher sighs "Earth Runes is elegant"

"A lot of those paintings are creepy, but cool-creepy."

"Yes, the one with the little girl trapped in her own balloon is ..brr"

"Everrything good at Rivervale?"

"Lots of political activities it seems. " Her mom says

"Training is regular" Her dad adds

"Winged pony" Her mom nods

"What?"

"Winged pony" She repeats

"Your mom's not joking. Star foaled. Her colt has wings" his dad says "Stormwake's stomping around like he invented fire"

"Oh man! I bet Dagmar is too!" He grins.

"Oh she's floating" A nod from her mom

"Cool." still smiling. And eating.

"the dogs are well, Oak misses you" His dad says

"Awww...." a grin "Tell him I'll bring him a present when Ivisit."

"Wash your hands before you do. he'll get jealous of the smell of all those other dogs on you" His mom grins

"Oh, your mother's poetry is getting considered for publishing" His dad says

His face lights up. "Hey, mom, that's great!"

"Thanks, but they haven't said YES yet" She smiles "I owe a bit to Sir Vali. He pulled some strings to get someone to look at it"

"Yeah, but still. They're looking at YOUR poetry."

His mom DOES look pleased

His father nods "he's right. "

"Fine fine.. If I were younger I'd squee"

"Squee anyway." Adam finishes up the last scraps of food. "It's a Fiona hold, you're allowed." With a grin.

"Whee" She says then laughs

His father chuckles, and fills him in on some of the marketing campaigns, telling Adam about Anne Marie's work too and some advice he gave for a charity

"That's cool, Dad. Say hi to Miss Anne Marie for me?"

"I will" he says

"Aaahhhh....." he sits back, full. For the moment.

That's when desserts are offered!

"oh good lord no, thank you but nno" Brenda says

Adam sits up, interested.

"A small one" Kyle says "For me, please"

And Adam "you sir?"

Adam nods. "Me too, please."

It turns out to be a wicked ice cream cake combo,small, but oh so good.

Brenda steals a piece of Kyle's

as is her right.

Adam eats his quickly, enjoying every bite.

"Oh man....." pleased.

"Okay, I think we may have to hibernate in summer" His dad says wiping a napkin against his blue gray lips

The family walks together along the halls after the dinner "It's just so fancy here?" His mother says "Tapestries on the walls."

"Uh. Yeah." With a sheepish grin.

"I think the lodge is more comfortable" Kyle observes
