Adam has had fun with the hawks and is now cleaning up. When he hears a trot of hooves. Not unusual, plenty of satyrs here. Stevi has a sexy southern Twang. Bachdion seems to know everything about being a Fiona. Jack is laid back for an old guy.

Adam turns to see who is joining him in the aerie.

His mom looks about "Well, this is nice. " And she smiles "Hi, son"

"Mom?" blankly.

"What are you doing here?"

"Well, currently staying at the doorway because I know this is where you work and I don't want to intrude. Beautiful birds though. Are you learning to hunt with them? That.. must feel very classy"

"I mean at EarthRunes. But yeah, come in. Just careful. They ate so they're calm. Ish."

She comes in "Oh. I'm here to say hello, ask how you're doing? And tell you we ah... are considering renting a house here for a few months"

"Uh.... you are? I'm doing great, mom, I love it here. I have three mentors, and I work here and with the dogs. Hounds." he corrects himself.

"You love it? Good. I was worried you'd be lonely without Zane. Making new friends then?"

"Some. And Nab's here. I'm hoping Zanen will visit."

"Well, if it helps, if we rent here it iwiil be nearby but we won't swarm you" His mother says "I understand you've got a room here already"

"A suite."

"Ooo fancy" A smile "Now, are you almost done here? Your father and I were hoping you could join us for Lunch. Lily has a baby sitter at Rivervale"

"Uh. Yeah, just a minute....."he finishes up quickly but thoroughly and joins his mother. "Ok."

She moves down "The food here is amazing, I'm told. And apparently the Steward insists Earth Runes show us their best . Hope you're hungry"

"I can always eat." Upbeat.

"This I know" She smiles at her son

Indeed, his energy is very different from the morose young man who left Rivervale in a cloud of gloom.

They head to a dinning room, and his dad is there staring at the shear amount of food brought out "Well, I have never said know to a Ribeye steak in my life"

"Hey dad."

Then he looks to see his son "Adam! Hey, our hero. There's a bit too much beef here to tackle without you"

"Food here -is- good. Stewart Delores does a great job, everyone says."

without thinking about it, Adam gets the chair for his mother.

(afk a bit)

"WHy.." She' surprised, then pleased "Thank you, Adam"

And she takes a seat

He seats her and waits for his father to sit before taking his own chair.

They do.

And his father says "You look happy, son"

"I love it here." He repeats. "I'm learning a lot."

"Kyle, the hawks and falcons are beautiful. I'd be too nervous to have one of my arm, but still lovely" Brenda says

"Maybe Sir Sergei will let me look later, if you'll give me and your mother a tour of that area, son" Kyle nods "Is mostly it animals you're learning about?"

"No! All kinds of court stuff like etiquette and dancing and combat and stuff. And history and literature."

"I noticed the etiquette " His mother admits pleased "Dancing? Sounds fun"

"It is." A grin.

"With pretty ladies, I suspect" His dad smiles "I'm glad this is working for you, son. " The steaks are delicious

Adam eats with a healthy appetite. "How's Lily?"

"She's not as crazy about the idea of us being here for the last of the summer" His dad answers honestly "She loves you, of course, but she'd miss her friends."

His mother nods

"Uh.... don't feel like you have to? I'm fine, better than fine, really."

"I can see that" his mother nods "Is it going to be weird for you if we do rent for a few weeks? Nearby in Jefferson I mean?"

"I... don't know?"

His dad chuckles at something "Okay. We'll see what turns up. "

"Yeah. Bit I'm doing great, really."

"I can see that" His dad nods "What's your favorite thing so far?"

"The energy here." Immediately "There's always something going on. Even if it's low-key, it's still interesting."

"Seems a little hectic to me" His dad says "maybe it's the troll in me"

"Well, I like it." Reasonably.
