"Like yourself, Dame Kerri, I am unhoused" Sir Drifala says

"Really? Interesting! I wouldn't have expected that."

A long look, then "Pardon, Dame Kerri, but are not you yourself Unhoused?"

"I am," she smiles. "I'm also not closely associated with the workings a noble house other than the Lodge or a with a political group. You, however, are."

"In fact...yes, now that I think of it, that's very odd, isn't it? For a group like the Beltane Blade, which is overwhelmingly sidhe, to entrust any duties to one without a house?"

"Know a lot about fae societies, do you, Dame Kerri?" A brow

"Well, clearly not as much as some. I'd be happy to learn, if you'd care to help me understand."

"I'm not a tutor" She says sounding a bit bored "But suffice to say, the Beltaine Blade knows the stakes of a Concordia in chaos and are happy to have my loyalty. I do not expect great accolades , anymore than any other knight. My gift, my increasingly rare gift, is I know my destined place in the Dreaming."

"That must be a great comfort," Kerri says. "So many of us remember so little, and can see only dimly into what's to come."

"Yes." She sighs "This is a lovely Freehold, truly. But surely you have more important duties than tour guide?"

"Oh, my squire is seeing to much right now. He knows how to fill in when I must be away. That is part of the beauty of Lodge structure...we are prepared if succession is necessary." Another pleasant smile...and a kenning.

Her glamour seems strong. She's got no nightmare energies or dark energies. WHich isn't saying much, few DO have that. She doesn't have the look of an Unseelie troll... not that you can always tell

Stoic. Hard to read.. at least at first, but Kerri has been wearing her down and had moments to see slips... and Slip Drifala did. A few glimpses of..contempt for this Lodge. The way she insists on calling it a Freehold. How she says Dame instead of Hearth, unless she intends to lecture quietly. Sir Drifala despises the Troll system. Oh, it's there only for a moment.

"I'm curious, Sir...my daughter has the benefit of having been raised among trolls. Did you have this experience?"

"I've had a varied experience in my life" She says simply "Enough to cement my loyalty to a vision. "

"Mm," Kerri nods amiably. "Having a clear vision is valuable, with all its various lights and shadows."

A shrug at that "The Beltaine Blade has a way of cutting through Shadows. Though we are rarely thanked for it. I really should return to his excellency"

Dagmar is heading towards the lodge, home from patrol. Flyswatter is on her shoulder, but she had no house marks - rather casual dress today.

Then Sir Drifala sees Dagmar. Evaluating gaze

Dagmar's tall and solid - still a wilder, of course, so not so massive as the grumps get.

"Dame Dagmar," Kerri greets her. "Please come and meet Sir Drifala. I am giving a brief tour of the lands while her liege is within."

"Sir?" A moment. "Cool. Hi!" She offers out a hand.

"I apologize, is it 'her' or...?"

The Knight Sir Drifala says "I am still a Her. I just prefer the title Sir for the title reference." If she is insulted, she doesn't show it. She takes Dagmar's hand and shakes it.

Her grip is..strong but she's not trying to start a contest

Dagmar isn't about to, either. Firm shake.

"Well, I hope you're enjoying the tour. Beautiful here, yeah? You eat? See the horses?"

"I have provided something of a tour, yes, Dame." Something in Kerri's tone and smile might give Dagmar a warning...if she's paying attention.

"I did see the horses." Sir Drifala admits "A winged Colt could not fail to catch my attention"

Grin! "Yeah, Spark's gonna be magnificent when he grows up. He's a lot of silly baby right now, of course."

The stranger seems to be of the stoic school of troll dom "Indeed."

"Dame Dagmar is one of our best horsewomen. We expect her to compete well at Pennons."

"Are you new to the area? Serving the Count?"

"I am sure she will" A nod then "I am currently assisting Count Obeithiol Goldenwing ap Gwydion. We were passing through. " A frown "Alas, it would appear the trods here are not for our use"

"Oh?"

"It is no matter. We will make our way around. Forgive me, Dame Dagmar, but I really should return to his excellency"

"Cool. I'm headed to the Lodge, too."

A hint of a frown. "It seems, Dame Dagmar, that Sir Difala was encouraging Count Goldenwing to lay claim to the Farmhold." Carefully light tone.

Eyebrow.

"Unless I have that mistaken, Sir?"

"That seems like a damned suicide mission." Blunt.

"True. Which might serve as the first of many dominoes." Then she smiles charmingly. "Oh, but forgive me. As has been pointed out, I don't have much understanding of fae society."

Another brow.

A wry brow in return.

"Count Goldenwing has a right to make the attempt. and I will Champion him. Follow or not if you wish" She turns and..walks towards the Lodge "I am neglecting my duties"

"Said nothing about his right or not. Just saying it's damn stupid."

Dag also walks towards the Lodge.

"Your opinions are noted with all due regard" Sir Drifala says as she keeps walking

Snort.

Behind Difala's back, Kerri puts a hand on Dagmar's shoulder and glances sharply back to the footbridge. "Warn them," she mouths silently.
