Dame Calanthe sits at her desk, carefully manicured fingernails tapping contemplatively on the rich mahogany surface, eyes looking down at the small pile of letters and correspondence delivered for the day.
In front of her stands a satyr attired in servant's livery, his hands clasped behind his back and trying not to sweat as he awaits her response. Finally, she looks up, and gives him a nod. "Thank you. That will be all."
A moment passes and he clears his throat awkwardly. "The... uh. Dame, the letter is addressed to the Baron-"
"I said, Thank You, Julius." Curt dismissal clear in her tone. "The chancellor speaks with the Baron's voice, junior steward. I will thank you not to question me again." Voice, lovely and musical, yet with a hint of chill that leaves no room for discussion. The pale and delicate hand continues the soft drum of fingernails as she reads the notice with the blue and green Rivervale seal once more.
As the steward moves to retreat, her voice rings out once more, stopping him before he is out the door. "Have Aquila saddled, and ready Veritas... Mm.. tell Dolph he is to attend to me on Glaucus. I'll pay a visit to the new squire."
"Yes, Dame." He responds, making his hasty retreat.
