"Adam, please eat" Nab says wearing a sexy maid outfit and carrying a tray of food

(It might be that sharp eyed mothers or sister and such would have noted signs of midnight kitchen raids, but not enough to keep a bird in flight. Reheated leftovers to sustain life.)

Nab doesn't care "REAL food"

Adam is, at least, sitting up in bed. Barechested and bed-headed, glum-faced. "Thanks Nab. Sit it down. I'll eat later."

'Later', for patrols and meals, doesn't seem to come these days.

"Later was hours ago," She says crossly

"Not hungry now."

"Adam.. would you like some shallow meaningless sex? Maybe that'll work up your appetite" Hopeful

"No. This isn't something you can help with, I think. Thanks anyway."

"Adam you can't.. I know you're hurting but you're going to turn into a mushroom if you keep leaving in this room"

A shrug.

"I just gotta think some stuff through."

"Fine. Anything I CAN do to help?"

"No." He sighs, shoulder slumped.

She sighs and putting the food down gives him a hug.

A one-armed hug back. "You going to be ok? Got enough juice?"

'Yeah, I got placees to go"

"Ok." Softly.

"I mean for the juice. I can hang here for a bit if you like"

"Up to you. Not doing much."

"I noticed" She says and just hugs him for a bit

His return hugs is.... listless, really.

He is preoccupied.

And she just shares the quiet.. for now

An hour, at least. The smell of mental smoke is almost tangible.

She really wishes she were more complex

Adam is at unheard-of low levels of lust.

Yup. This is terrifying. "I... don't suppose you want to call Zane and ask him if he wants to hit the town?"

"Nothing's open. No one's out."

"other holds? "

A shrug. "Nah."

After another period where he thinks, a sigh. "Ok....." he slides out of bed and rumages for.... pen and paper?

He finds some.

He starts writing. Chews the pen. Crosses out. Tries again. Crumples it. Tries again.

Writing is hard.

Nab stretches "What are you trying to write/ "

"Everything is all tangled. I want to try and figure it out...."

OOC: Didn't see this update sorry BIC: "Figure out...what?"

"Feelings, mostly."

He continues to try, drawing and writing and crossing out.

"Oh.." Nabuni says

He tears off several pages and rips them up, frustrated.

She gathers the papers andl ooks at what he tried to write. Perhaps not thinking about how intrusive it might be

"Nah, come on. Leave that."

She does but pouts "But I want to knnooow"

"It's private. And anyway, it wouldn't make sense to you." He gets up and gathers the scraps.

"No. I.. I suppose it wouldn't" She admits quietly, subdued

"Sorry." Muttered. He pauses. "She said..... Piper said to tell you she was sorry. I mean, sorry to you, too."
