Whether it's Sylvi or Kerri that sees it, the kitchen door opens and inward strides Nadeen DancingSnow wearing armor she's never worn before and carrying a sword

Kerri is there and blinks at the sudden martial arrival as her hands are full of flour. "Nadeen? Is there an attack?" Alert, ready to head for the door.

She wipes the blade clean "No.. but your husband needs healing... I couldn't lift him"

Olgar grunts "I'm FINE" In a tone that indicates he's NOT fine but too proud to say otherwise

"WHAT? Oh, Olgar." Half-fearful, half-chiding. "Sit down," she directs him to a stool. "What happened?"

She normally would only be chiding. Olgar knows this. So why the fearful tinge?

"Hey, I had to fight off a..."

"Ahem" Nadeen says before he can continue

"WE had to fight off a dozen balor mooks" he finishes "And a monster ambush besides"

Kerri has gone to a cupboard to fetch down a vial of some sort. At the word Balor she turns sharply. "Iron?"

"No, this was in the Dreaming.. .last moron to take cold iron in the Dreaming basically FLUSHED themselves from the D'aan" He smirks then sobers "The Balor had a back up rescue plan... I had to do some serious trod work to prevent them. I was ready for escape, not their back up. "

His wounds are NOT, thank goodness, Cold Iron. She can heatherbalm this, but his flank looks like ground beef

A quick nod, and she mixes the contents of the vial into a glass of water and adds a splash of whisky in there. "Here...chug it."

She went into action before really getting a look at the wound. Now that she has, she gets a very closed-off expression. "You defended him, Nadeen?"

Nadeen ponders "It's hard to remember all the details ,but at the least I fought by his side. I will not pretend to have been near your husband's equal in combat, but my soveriegn was of some use and I wounded a few mhyself. In truth, I don't remember my greatest moment and that ..." She frowns "Vexes me. Dagmar will have questions. I want to impress her."

"I have no doubt that she'll be impressed. Thank you for being at his side. Are you hurt?"

"It's of no matter" She says loftily, still standing

Olgar has chugged and is healing, but he looks over "Her ass is wounded."

Nadeen looks mortified "Rover!" Offended

Olgar says "Baroness, my wife is Hearth, she's not just asking you this for curiosity sake. She asked if you were wounded. Healers, be they doctors, hearths, or laedies in white with funny hats are trying to do a job and warriors are allowed only SO much right to lie or hide shit from them. So turn around and show her the damage"

Kerri puts a hand on Nadeen's shoulder. "Olgar, stay here. Do NOT move." Wife/Hearth glare. "Nadeen, come with me." She directs Nadeen to their private room.

And off they go, Nadeen sighs, and removes the breeches of her armor

and bends over.

There is a nasty gash artfully across BOTH her perfect cheeks..filled with Shrapnel. "I tried to drop and avoid the attack and.. got MOST of myself down..." A BLUSH "This is mortifying"

Kerri looks it over clinically...well, as clinically as possible. I mean, this is a sidhe, and she can't deny a bit of envy. Even when I was young, I could never have looked this good... "Well, I'm afraid I'll have to clean it out a bit, first. It's a mess. But the healing should go smoothly. Lie down, face down."

"I'm not sure I have a choice on HOW I lie down" She admits and complies "of course, you'll have the good grace to swear your husband to secrecy and make sure this story goes no further?" A beat as she talks in a pillow "I am unseelie and quite willing to bribe you both"

A huff of amusement. "How many times have you heard me tell of others' embarrassing wounds? Perhaps if we all spoke about them, we wouldn't think they were embarrassing at all."

She sets to work with her first-aid tools and cantrip skills, combined.

"Pleaaase, Hearth" more a teenage girl than a noble in the moment "Just .. I'll die of embarrasment if some pooka hears of this"

"Or Dagmar" Mortified all over again

"ow" As shrapnel from what looks to be damage from a Chiemrical blunderbuss is removed.

"Sorry," she says of the painful part. "I think you might find that telling the story would result in you getting quite a lot of pleasant attention from Dagmar. Well...you were going to get that, anyway, truthfully. But don't you think she deserves the chance to fuss over you?"

"Now, I think that's got it clean. Hold still...this may hurt a bit...."

Kerri moves away...there's a quiet moment...and then a SNAP at the wound as she whips the end of a rat-tailed towel against it, delivering the heatherbalm.

Oh! good thing the GLARING end is on the other side!

"Was that really necessary?!!" Offended rub of her now unwounded buttocks

"You know how bunks work. Now, you're good as new, but with a story to tell, and I hope you do tell it. If you'll be so kind, I have a husband to tend to," she indicates that Nadeen should precede her out the door.

Nadeen is dressed "YEs but you couldn't sing or maybe.. oh fine" She says then starts to precede and then turns "Dame Kerri? I don't remmeber many details... but your husband fought with .. .he was a force. Fearless, indomitable, I've never seen a man bend the very dreaming around him into his own arena and then challenge all and WIN. I did help... but as much as it pains a sidhe to admit 'sidekickery' , he was the hero of this story."

Oh, the pride is unmistakable, though she may try to hide it trollishly. "There are many reasons I love that man. Thank you for being by him, Nadeen. If you hadn't...well...one too many shots might have gotten through. I'm in your debt," she adds.

"Tell people I was wounded on the arm or something instead and we'll be more than even" An elegant shrug and then "I got a new sword" Pleased "So there's that. " And out she goes

Kerri sees her husband in the EXACT same spot he was. Exact same pose. But he has a beer in his hand somehow

"Deal," she says to Nadeen, then followers her back out to the kitchen. She shakes her head at Olgar, the you're hopeless expression. "How's the side?"

"Smooth as baby skin" he exagerates a bit. What he means is it's probably a touch tender, but otherwise good

"Mm." She touches the spot lightly. "You should get tougher gear." Translation: You're going to get yourself killed, you fool-whom-I-love!

"mm" A toothy grin "I'll see what I can do. Durability is good" translation: Nah, you're stuck with me

"Well, unless you're going to learn how to heatherbalm yourself, yes, you're going to need it." Translation: A fate I'll gladly suffer.

"You should get showered and take a rest."

"Ha. Yeah? I think you just don't want my musk all over your clean sheets" But he rises and gives her a kiss. "I'll take that shower"

The kiss she returns lingers and is tinged with relief and possessiveness. "I'll check on you in a bit," she promises.

"I'll be clean an smell tolerable when you do" He says after the kiss leaves her message clear and he moves to do just that
