"I don't mind working." Adam says, and puts the bag of dross on his father's desk.

"Ah, son, about this.. you don't have to do this in dross you know? We're allowed at the lodge anytime we want" He says

"I know." A long drink. "But dross helps when you're not at the Lodge. Uh, right Zane? Like... for spells and stuff? Or just remembering, if you need to?"

"It does" Zane says "And if you're practicing cantrips, it's a good way to make sure you don't over tax yourself, Sir."

Kyle sighs "Not everyone wants to be a wizard, Zane."

"Well, wizard are warrior...maybe gentleman thief" Zane considers "I mean, everyone wants to be oneo f those right?"

Adam just grins.

Kyle looks JUST a bit amused "FIne. We'll keep the dross for practice. As a point of fact we are learning some arts"

"Cool." Drink.

"Whatcha learning, Mr. Thomas?"

"Chicanery, and Brenda's learning Metamorphisis" He says

"Nice... I do a lot of Chicanery myself. it gets a bad rep, but it's great when you need it" Zane says "I startled the hell out of Adam with it today" Smug look

"And then he kicked your ass at basketball" Kyle nods "Sounds about right"

Adam sends the smug look right back.

"Yeaaaah" Zane rolls with it, pegged.

"Okay guys... while you're here.. take a look at this tree art... tell me what you..."
