Ariel eyes her friend, then says "Well, maybe you should let him know that and give him a little pet for we go to bed."

"Speaking of Bed" Maria says

Gah! Adults hear tht word and they think you're tired

"It is time for bed now, though. And that means stories."

"Mmm " Maria says but she'll allow it

"Yes! Ramona!" Ariel says

"Will you read, Salma?"

She looks hesitant. She really wants to know what caused the fight earlier... but it is maybe not a good time to bring it up. "Of course, if I try to read it in my head, it fights with the dreams waiting for when I sleep, and I cannot listen to either. Only aloud can I enjoy stories at BEDTIME."

"Yay!"

And the girls wave to the kittens and race off to rest.

If Fireheart is under her pillow, well...

Salma does pause to whisper back to the dog, "Now you behave, senor perro. No more of that noise and scaring the gatitos. Si?" And then follows!

They leave a valley of kittens, trapped by DOG body, only mom able to climb over. Yet, there is a tabby eyeing the big blue canine mountain. He tasks her, and one day she shall climb over him. Oh yes.

(End Scene)

"Dude" It's Zane. "HOw goes? " Noting Adam's basketball practice

Adam shoots, hits the hoop, and turns. "Dude. 'Sup?"

He stops the rolling basketball with his foot. Super cool.

"Been studying at the farm, learning shit." A smile "Also stopped by some other holds. Heard you went to TJ with Cous. How'd it go?"

"Oh, she made bank." a grin "Like that's a surprise. We hit the beach and.... I love the way she looks on it."

"It was amazing. It.... I'm still thinking about it, you know?"

"Yeah?"

"Yeah." He sits on the ball.

"Like.... the court? Totally different. And...Piper? Wow.... and..... "

"How'd the crowd at Fenix treat her? I mean.. she's always liked being in the lime light when the music starts"

"Oh, they were totally into her. I mean.... she sang that song, about Rivervale? And got the others performers to join her at the end? DUDE."

A happy sigh.

"She organized them? outrageous!" He approves "Damn "

"It was amazing." Adam smiles.

"I got to get the gloaming going again" He sighs "She needs a place to jam for a group again"

"I'm down. Say when. Let me help." Adam says immediately. "I know, virus and all but... shit."

"People are gathering anyway again... might as well direct them" he says "I could even make a mask theme and maybe be semi responsible" He paces "I love learning about magic and myth and stuff... but I'm going bonkers, man."

"Out of my fuckin' mind." Adam confirms.

"You just went to a party and the beach, less sympathy for you" He says

"Fair." Adam stands, picking up the ball with him. "You want to shoot? Or head inside?"

"Sure, I'll take a few shots. Out of practice"

Adam shoots the ball to him, quick; a shot from the shoulders out to the satyr in question.

Zane catches it, but not easily, he IS out of practice.

Adam GRINS.

"Yeah yeah.." Zane dribbles the ball, getting a feel for it.

"You're gonna do some magic shit, right?" Adam watches, arms crossed, grinning.

"On the ball?" A grin "Yeah.. sure..check this out" He tosses the ball back and forth betwen his hands, goes back, closes his eyes and throws. It bounces off board, up, hits the rim, then wobbles in

Adam watches.

And the ball dances back to Zanes feet. Eyes still closed. Zane picks it up and still, eyes closed, throws again.. hard. It hits the side of the house, bounces and swishes in.

Adam watches with some envy.

Two more impossible shots just.. happen!

He shrugs. "Cool."

"Yeah, but wait for it.." He trhows again, one more impossible shot. Then suddenly.. the shot after that misses, bounces back hard, and slams Zane in the face.

"Ow"
